"I'm Smarter!" is a trivia game with friends for iOS and Android where you can show people who's really the smartest one around! (Android release to follow after initial iOS release)
Features:
- No more strictly 1 versus 1 games that mobile apps are known for....Up to SIX players can play at a time! Play with Facebook friends or make new friends with the "quick-match" matchmaking feature!
- Asynchronous game designs allows you to play whenever you have time or feel like it.
- STATS AND RANKINGS! Wouldn't games like Words With Friends be cooler if you could see how you stack up against your friends and other players? I'm Smarter will incorporate a custom ELO algorithm that gives you a dynamic rating which updates every time you win!....or lose..
- Seamless chat! Now you don't have to go through the trouble of loading up another screen in order to chat with your friends. It's all right there in the main game screen!
- No repeat questions! One thing I hated about Draw something was that I would keep getting repeat words, making an entire round sort of a drag to play. Our game is designed to give your questions that you and everyone in your game have never seen before!
- 8 categories with new categories and questions to come! Initial categories are: "Celebrities & Entertainment", "General Wisdom", "Geography", "History", "Movies & Television", "Music", "Science & Technology", and "Sports".
- Pretty beautiful game design if I do say so myself
So the meat of the game design is this:
You get to choose how many points you want to play up to (1,000, 1,500, 2,000). Easy questions are worth 25 points, medium questions are worth 50 points, and hard questions are worth 100 points. Every round a question is picked for all players from a random category and a random difficulty. However, since the game is asynchronous, everyone doesn't have to answer at the same time! Each player answers the question on their own time, and has 20 seconds to answer in order to prevent cheating. One everyone answers, the results are revealed and recapped, the new scores are calculated (the fastest person gets bonus points!), and the next round starts! It's as simple as that!
