San Francisco’s only Green Film Festival needs your help.

Join us as a 2013 Festival Champion! Support our Kickstarter crowd-funding campaign to help us reach our goal of $5,000 by March 31 and make our third festival the best yet.

In this past year we have witnessed the devastating impacts of climate change, both at home and overseas, and it’s more urgent than ever to stimulate action on environmental issues.

We need your help!

Over 2,000 people will come together at this year’s Festival (May 30 - June 5) to watch, learn, and discuss positive solutions to today’s ecological challenges. We can’t do this without your help: we rely on the generous donations of people around the Bay Area to continue to bring these life changing films to our community. If you think you’ve learned from or been inspired by one of our programs or had an experience that really stayed with you, we are asking you to help others join the movement. Will you support us?

What makes us different?

People go to the festival, see compelling films from around the world about the environment and then say: What can we do about this? What should I do next? How can I make a difference? That’s where we come in. We leverage the power of films to let voices from around the world be heard, providing a space for inspiration and discussion, sharing positive solutions and ideas, learning something new and connecting with new people.

And we’ve got some cool perks as an appreciation for your support.

Donate as little or as much as you can and become a part of the green movement. Between March 1-30 you can give online through our 2013 Kickstarter campaign. There are some great donor perks and benefits available, for this limited time only – you can get your name on the big screen or invitations to a special sneak preview screening or filmmaker brunch! Donate $250 or more before March 18, you can join us at our exclusive VIP donor reception on March 20!

Donations are made through our 501(c)3 fiscal sponsor, Green Planet Films. Portions of your pledge may be tax-deductible, less the value of any perks received such as tickets. For a fully tax-deductible donation, please select the ‘no perks’ option after pledging. Contact us for further information about deductions for various packages.

Where will your money go?

Ticket sales only cover a small percentage of festival costs like venue rentals, program curation and bringing filmmakers to the festival. We rely on individual donations to fuel free educational programs throughout the community. SFGFF strives to inspire and mobilize the community to take action and we simply can’t do this without the support of individuals like you.

With your support, we can grow the Green movement and bring even more people into the sustainability discussion in 2013.
