About this project
THE STORY:
Do you believe in second chances? Life is a game of circles, after all. I’m coming back ‘round myself -- that’s why the album I’m recording is called Phoenix. In the time since recording and touring my first album, Who’s My Mr. Kitty, I pursued film and later graphic design, eventually running my own multimedia design business. All the while, though, I continued to write music. I just didn’t share it.
So now I’ve got a ton of killer material, as well as the skills, savvy, and desire to make it into something I can share. To complete the cycle and rise from the flames, I just need some help to strike the match.
That’s where Kickstarter comes in. Here I hope to connect with other people (like you) who believe in second chances and understand that no matter what life heaps on, you can still come out the other side not just surviving, but thriving.

1. I will give you awesome rewards like mp3 downloads, exclusive EPs, teeshirts, posters, mentions in the album credits... possibly even a live show dedicated to you, or a personalized music video!

3. I've already worked hard to write and start tracking the record (in my walk-in closet, mind you), but there is lots more work to do! Phoenix still needs to be mixed, mastered, duplicated, distributed and promoted once it’s done. You can help just by pledging as little as $1

4. It’s a cool DIY way to get involved! Think of it like this - I’m the artist, and you get to be the Record Label and micro-produce an awesome project - minus the stuffy board room, although bowties and fake cigar puffing are encouraged.
5. As soon as Phoenix comes out, I can get started on a live tour! Wouldn’t that be fun!
6. Your friends are doing it.
7. You’ll help me to pay the hardworking artists, engineers, photographers and musicians and promoters who have been or will be part of the project! Look at you go! You’re creating jobs in a tough economy!

How the Kickstarter thing works:
1. You check out this page and get excited.
2. You make a pledge at the reward level of your choosing.
3. Once the campaign reaches its goal (this is all or nothing folks), Kickstarter will collect your pledge money, and turn over funds I need to get crackin'!

5. Finally, the project is in motion and you get to check back on SerenaAndrews.com to follow along with the progress or watch the making-of videos as it goes along! Hopefully this all ends with a tour in the Spring! Fingers crossed!

Send MessageI have been an independent musician and media artist since I was able to hold a crayon and hum. I have never been able to help it. My style is in a sort of ethereal, pop-oriented, dark and humorous vein.
Recently I moved to New York to follow my dreams... and step up my career... maybe meet wonderful other people doing the same.
After a short hiatus in recording, I am in the studio again, releasing new work, and planning a tour for next Spring.
