Things are still rolling along in the editing room on the Image doc. It's become a bigger project than we could have anticipated, which is good for you, since it's going to be awesome when you finally see the film, but also frustrating, since it means the film will take a bit longer to complete. Right now, we're targeting a finished film by April, and will keep you updated as it progresses.
What's been taking so long? Well, we've been interviewing a lot of people. I'm happy to announce that we were able to interview Jim Lee, which means that we've spoken to all seven original Image founders. You're not going to hear Jim talking about the Image era in too many places, so we were very excited to speak to him. We've also been speaking to a lot of artists from the studios, including Marat Mychaels, Ale Garza, Norm Rapmund, Byron Tallman, Dan Fraga, Ryan Benjamin and many others.
Right now, the real work is in editing. There's an 85 minute cut of the film, which I'm currently filling out with photos and video b-roll from back in the day. We'll be doing a little more shooting later this month, which should hopefully wrap up the interviews, then it's just a question of wrapping things up in the editing room.
If you have any questions about the project, or anything else, send them our way and we'll be happy to answer them for you. And you'll be seeing the film soon!
