Phew ...

Ugh ... so many sprites to input. Since all of the frames are inputted into the system by hand, it is really annoying. I don't have an edit that easily does it with GUI interfath. All of the animations need coordinates, timing, etc. That's why it is sucking my life force.
I'm really worried about that deadline. I said earlier that the person who had volunteered to compose had dropped out, so Jon (who had done all of the music so far and the trailer music) will pick it up from here. Though I wanted to compensate him montarily so I'm back in debt again ... Sigh. Well, most importantly it will be done.
I think the biggest setback is it took awhile for me to find someone who will create the large scale system. It really isn't a Suikoden clone because it has to be more complicated. There are a lot more of these battles than there were in Suikoden, but not enough to base the entire game around it like Final Fantasy Tactics, Fire Emblem or Ogre Tactics. A lot of the game is really like ... "Anthropology"? Observing and finding out more about the world you live in. Running across people and learn about their lives in different arcs. Like a runaway named Tabitha.

I'm glad I finally found reliable people. It took me so long but that deadline is stressing me out so much. I feel so bad for pushing it again.
I've been replacing a lot of old graphics for newer and better ones as well.

Same here! If we must wait, we'll wait ;) The game seems gorgeous and although your updates are superb I'd like to get one telling us more about the story. In my opinion, JRPG's are very related to the story they explain, so if you could inform us more, the wait will be shorter for sure! ^ ^

Just want to say that there is no problem with the delay because you are being transparent about the whole process. Don't worry about any arbitrary deadline. All I want is for you to take your time, do what you think is right., and keep us posted. In other words, keep doing what you're doing.
Creator kamalloy on May 18, 2012
Totally fine with a delay if you need it. You're keeping us updated on how the work is going, and I appreciate that.

I am in no hurry to get the game. Just get it done right. Oh and take care of yourself, don't worry too much about what we think. We donated knowing that this is a Freeware game. I look forward to your finished product. Just keep us posted ^_^/

Seriously though don't worry about it. I've been following your blog pretty regularly and think your doing just as well as any major studio. As far as I'm concerned that makes you on schedule. Although I will say I envy how this gives you an excuse to hike around some pretty cool parks and nature trails. Sure it's great for research and will make the game even better but seeing the pics you post makes me really want to get my hiking shoes and wander around the Santa Monica mountain range or visit the Poconos for a weekend.

Same here, take your time man.
Creator Grégory Bernal on May 17, 2012
Same here. I wouldn't mind to see it pushed back, not only for your own comfort but also because I don't want to think the game would miss some features or that it had been rushed in the end.
Just take your time, it can only make it better!
Creator Brian Wulff on May 17, 2012
I concur. Take your time, do it right, don't kill yourself, however long it takes is fine.
Creator Atarun on May 17, 2012
Well, I can only speak for myself, but I'd rather see the game postponed than see you kill yourself over it!
