About this project

“Little Candy Hearts” promises to deliver a highly developed thriller that puts a spin on the stylish film noir story of those who are intrinsically drawn into criminal acts by lust and greed, and who ultimately fall prey to these desires. A modern day LA replaces the bygone Los Angeles of classic noir to serve up a world spanning upscale homes, modern offices, as well as underworld meeting places.

A hip graphic designer tends to a budding relationship with a beautiful but secretive young woman. But all is not as it seems with our website-building hero as the story unfolds following a mysterious voicemail, and an armed robbery on the streets. Who’s right and who’s wrong becomes a twisted web on the route to a horrific killing.

For the initial phase of "Little Candy Hearts," we plan on spreading the word by keeping every phase of the process well documented on our site and blog via production photos and behind-the-scenes videos. We’ll also promote the project via high traffic internet sites, such as facebook, google buzz, twitter, myspace, vimeo, youtube, etc. to keep up to date with fans and interested parties. Finally, as the project comes together, we will release a short film trailer and target various film and online festivals around the world. Once the film is complete we will then release it to our various sponsors and to the world.

Little Candy Hearts will serve as the 3rd narrative short film project for AB5TRAX. As an experienced production and post company, our goal for this project is to help elevate our knowledge and abilities with creative storytelling utilizing our strong sense of visuals that have aided us in producing work for the commercial and music industries.. With our strong background in all facets of filmmaking we can minimize our production costs to deliver a completely packaged film shot digitally and finished in HD.

All pledges and donations will be used solely to fund for the production (i.e. insurance, camera rental, lighting package, audio equipment, food, and transportation). All other costs (related to pre-production / post production) will be subsidized by AB5TRAX.
