Update #9: Final Update and a gift for our supporters

Posted on August 12, 2011

Blessing of gratitude to everyone that supported us and here is a gift to everyone that has contributed to our new kickstarter campaign. Rishi and I promise that everyone that supports our new project to launch Joysxee Island will receive the pledge rewards even if we do not reach our funding goal. That means if you re-pledge, you get all the rewards at the pledge point you choose!

We only have six days left and this is such an incredible project and opportunity.

Seriously, who else do you know has built and lives on their own island.

Update #7: THANK YOU ALL

Posted on May 29, 2011

To everyone that pledged - THANK YOU ALL!!!   While we were not successful in our fundraising efforts we are thrilled to have so many backers and great comments and well wishes.

Rishi, always the optimist, see this as a learning opportunity so we will be back in a week or so with a new kickstarter campaign with even better rewards and we will double our efforts to spread the word about his eco teaching island and hope to inspire more people to see how to turn trash into treasure.

Thank you again for the pledges and we hope we can count on your continued support when we relaunch the project. And please, if you are ever on Isla Mujeres, come and visit.

With gratitude and love,

Scott and Rishi

Update #6: Count down thoughts

Posted on May 26, 2011

With three days to go, I am feeling grateful for all those who have donated.

There is yet time and so I am holding faith*

I must say though that it does feel rather strange that it ends on my birthday because I have not celebrated that day since I was affected by the "Jehovah,s witnesses" when I was in my late teens. It happened to coincide with the best weather to move to the bay and the time it took to get everything uploaded onto the kickstarter site.

I Love you All*

Richart.

Update #5: ONLY 3 DAYS LEFT

Posted on May 25, 2011

We only have 3 days to go till the campaign is over and we have only raised about 25% of the funds needed but we will not give up hope till the end.

Please help us reach our goal by emailing and facebooking and tweeting and smoke signaling and carrier pigeoning everyone that you know that wants to support the eco island.

We need all the help we can get so thank you again for your support and please help spread the word.

In peace,

Scott and Rishi *

Scott Mader is looking to create an open source organic farm/educational center/artistic community/smurf village in Belize and wants your help. I am happy to house and feed all that are passionate and productive in what they do and are willing to share their knowledge and experiences with those around them.

Richart Sowa was born and raised in Yorkshire, England. From a very early age he was painting pictures for his family, and after working for ten years as a carpenter he began singing and playing guitar as he toured Europe sharing his eco-art and songs. His passion for the ecology grew as he traveled and noticed how our modern lifestyle is exponentially eating away oxygen-emitting green areas and polluting the air and oceans. The idea of turning trash into sustainable, oxygen-producing, water-cleaning land was an idea of his which he didn't think he would ever do, but when he arrived in Mexico and learned about the ancient floating Aztec islands he knew that this was the country where he could build his dreams into reality.
