About this project
The Story: This photo documentary is about re-imagining the travels of previous generations. In a time we can only know throw the stories of our relatives, young Americans took to the roads, heading west, in search of a greater purpose in their lives-to journey.
This story is a visionary one, to put modern youths, motorcycle riders, on the road for distances that will strip them of their everyday comforts and casual conversation, to force them to become introspective in the wind, to reflect on their own paths individually...only to be brought together to help one another into the next day.

The resulting "product" will be a series of 16"x20" prints to be exhibited, and a photobook of the entire series. In appreciation for your support, I am offering some great perks to those who allow me to complete this project to its full potential.
Poster #1: Designed by Two Rabbits Studios in Los Angeles, CA 
The funds received will go directly to the design and printing of the photobook. So many projects are finalized in prints only, and it is my goal to have the complete series, and complete story, in a single book.
Poster #2: Designed by Scott, and printed for backers.
As an emerging professional with a penchant for traditional processes, this is a tough market for funding.
The Production: I am photographing this project on my own, intertwined within the group of riders as they travel. There will be no support vehicles, and the project will be conducted on a 'bring what you can carry' policy, so as to keep the documentary stripped of certain conveniences.
