Kickstarter

I've been recording my original material for 20 years, mostly as demos for whatever band I was in at the time, so that band could perform the songs. With each recording session, the quality has improved, both in terms of performance and recording quality. This new CD will have 10-12 of my best recordings, some old tunes and some new ones. After recording CDs with Stackabones and Gary Gates, I figured it was high time to release my own music.

My CD features cameos from Bill Payne (Little Feat), Ben Ellman (Galactic), Barry Sless (David Nelson Band, Phil & Friends), Dale Ockerman (Doobie Brothers), Matt Hartle (China Cats), Steve Sofranko (China Cats), Ray Houck, Gary Gates, Bundy Brown, Tammi Brown, Al Frisby, Mike Schermer and members of Deep Blue Sea (my old band from the 90s). Most of the project is finished but still needs some touch up work, as well as mixing and mastering.

I also have the awesome Kristina Layton out of Colorado painting cover art for me.

Most of the recording was done at Paradise Studios in Santa Cruz under the guidance of Rich Williams. Rich is the man behind Burl Audio, who make the finest Analog-Digital converters on the market. However, Paradise recently had a fire and the studio is without a studio right now. So I am going to complete the mixing and mastering at a new studio.

With your contributions, I can complete the project. I figure I need about $2000 to finish everything without compromising quality. Anyone who contributes will get a copy of the CD and I will also send a copy to anyone else you choose.
