Update #7: Welcoming Departure - In Post Production Now!!!
Hello Everyone,
Thank you all for your continued support of the film! We had a successful month of filming back in October and wrapped on October 27th on time and on budget for the production phase. Now the film is already being edited and we are raising some final funds to help pay the editor and make the final sound mix. We are on track to have the film released in early 2011!

Not sure what was going on in that kickstarter website. I planned on donating 25 this time but not really sure if I did or not. I also only want 1 dvd even though I have donated 2 other times in the past.

Update #5: Success!!!
Thank you all for for financial and personal support! We made it to the goal, which means the film is closing in on it's intended budget - I will keep you all updated as to the progress of the shoot - we roll camera on October 2nd in Bellingham!
I will continue working to secure additional funding to be able to shoot on Super 16mm - this will give the film a more serious chance at some of the larger festivals and let's face it...it just looks good!

My 2008 short film, Between Night (my thesis film from Boston University's Graduate Film Production Program), won awards at the 2009 Indie Spirit Film Festival and the NW Projections Film Festival. It was also Official Selection at the Santa Fe, Big Island, Tacoma, Tregor and NW Local Sightings Film Festivals. My short film, Last Night Long Ago is an Official Selection at 2010 Indie Spirit and 2010 Big Island Film Festivals. Enter the Beard, a short documentary about the 2009 World Beard and Mustache Competition has played in over 16 festivals around the world, winning 5 awards. Welcoming Departure, my first feature film, was shot at various locations around Washington and Oregon. It will be released early 2012.
