I have decided to combine my dreams of traveling and great love for photography with those of aiding developing countries and make it a reality. Throughout the world there are many issues that have been going unnoticed for far too many years now. My goal is to try to help several organizations in these developing countries anyway possible along with bring awareness to the world outside. The experience begins this October in Costa Rica teaching English to low-income communities in San Jose and surrounding areas and hopefully, continues on to Nepal. Nepal, being a resource poor country has many different areas in dire need of help. My mission while there will be to teach at a school comprised mostly of Dalit-caste families and work with rescued Kamlari girls. Just for a little briefing the dalit-caste is a self-designation for a group of people traditionally regarded as untouchables (outcastes) or of low caste and the Kamlari girls are those sold into servitude usually by their parents.

Documenting my experience through the lens of my camera I hope to build awareness for the problems at hand while helping the people in need.

Where does the pledged $$$ go? The money will go towards the airfare - $1295.00 from (not so) Cheapoair.com and the organization's fees - Volunteer Nepal and Nepal Orphans Home.

The project will take place for an entire month in Dumrikaka, Nepal.
