We have a brief specifications update with 24 hours to go!

After a bunch of research into PTP compatibility for cameras, we have decided to add a remote shutter release port to both editions of the Swivl. This port is commonly found on most DSLR cameras on the market. It is used for shutter release, as well remote auto-focus and exposure control.  By adding this port to the Swivl, we can guarantee basic compatibility on these functions with most any camera on the market.  And this means that for applications like timelapse, we can insure full functionality with most any camera on the market.  

More sophisticated controls will still require PTP, and will be limited to a certain set of cameras that enable this capability.  We are still doing our homework to finalize a list of compatible cameras for each feature. This is a relatively time consuming and tedious process since many manufacturers do not publish detailed specifications for this. So please bare with us!

We have gotten a very strong response about the WiFi version of the new Swivl. We are still putting our plans together for how to execute this. Once our plans are confirmed, we will be providing a way for backers to adjust their reward. Please note that this will occur once the campaign closes at this point.
