Well, it's the end of the line for my fight to Save the Universe from Pop Doom.
I am in danger, and Loco Caliente and his evil cohorts are looking suspiciously like they might defeat me :-(

As the clock is ticking ticking ticking, I'm putting one last call out into the ether that I'll be successful in this mission. Like any good espionage caper, it's coming down to the wire... so in a way it's only fitting! It's almost like I only have 32 hours and 27 minutes left to detonate a bomb activated by a rare diamond hidden inside a golden falcon statue that has to be transported from Bangkok to Istanbul via helicopter, yacht and luxury train...

Well, regardless of whether I successfully complete this mission or not, it's time to say THANK YOU. I cannot express what this whole process has been like for me. Each and every pledge has meant SO much! Whether they were $5, $500, and everything in between- it is incredible to me that some 46 people out there cared enough to help me with this. I know this economy is not the ideal climate for arts funding.

To my friends and family that have pledged, you know who you are- I will NEVER forget your generosity, and the feeling that I know I can count on you to help me achieve my dreams is incomparable.

To my fans who have pledged, many of whom I have never met- it's astounding to me and so flattering that complete and total strangers are supporting my music! It makes me confident that once I'm able to start getting this album out to a wider audience- it will be embraced and the sky will be the limit for me.

To everyone who took that extra step to get your own networks involved and campaigned on my behalf, you are angels on Earth.

This is the single most exciting time of my career so far, and it's all the more meaningful that I don't feel like I'm going it alone. One more heartfelt surge of gratitude going out to all of you! I feel very blessed, and even if I fail in this project, your belief in me inspires me to keep going! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I watched the breaking news yesterday, glued to my television...
Several Undercover Spies were exposed, living seemingly perfectly normal lives in the NY area:

Some of them even had kids together to get into character of the 'perfect American family'- yikes! I imagine there must have been a lot of Russian Vodka involved there ;-)

I cannot express my fear that my own Super-Spy cover could be blown! Loco Caliente and his buddies have been putting up quite a fight this month, y'all... and like the climax of any great espionage caper, the MOST difficult stage of this mission is coming RIGHT at the very last minute, where I am literally RACING against the clock to get these pledges in!
The suspense is almost too much for me!!!
But, like any great spy caper--- I have faith that in the end we WILL crush the evil supervilians and reign victorious!
And, the record I make will be that much more amazing for it.

Well, I'm halfway through my timeline for this project, and the experience so far has been so terrifying, and so heartwarming, and so exciting!
I have genuinely been through such a crazy rollercoaster of emotions throughout this process so far--- I have definitely cried with happiness a few times. I really can't express my gratitude to all of you so far that have pledged.
When I decided to go this route in figuring out how to finance my album, a small voice inside me said, 'Sarah, are you crazy?' I of course ignored it and set out to do it anyway. (And not just any old way, but by envisioning a whole espionage caper and fantasy alter-ego. Again, crazy! But, that's just me).
I honestly didn't even know if I would be able to raise $200! Now that we're at $2,000- I just can't thank you enough. I am SO hopeful that this mission will succeed... and SO humbled by the amazing show of support ;-)

We have a great team put together for the album cover shoot and promo photos, all that is underway- and we've started putting the band together for the recording and I can PROMISE you that it is going to be BY FAR the best thing I have ever done. The right people are falling into place to help me bring this to life and it's looking to be amazing... made more amazing because all of you are a part of it.

For those of you that are wondering how Loco Caliente is doing... well, I have a story for you!
I was undercover the other night at an eMusic event. I happened to meet the former head of Sony Music... a man who has been one of the most ALL-POWERFUL CORPORATE RECORD EXECUTIVES in the history of popular music. A man who has crushed many many dreams in his day. He was handsome. He was slick. He was a little too tan. He had a vice-grip handshake and a menacing laugh... just then, I realized: he and Loco Caliente have been Evil Supervillians together for years and this man was OBVIOUSLY sent by Caliente himself to check in on me, his unassuming singer-songwriter/SuperSpy Archnemesis.

This means one thing: Loco Caliente is getting scared. He wanted to send me a sign to let me know he's keeping an eye on me.
