Winner of the Pitch the 406 competition.

Sanshead and it's team have been awarded $20,000 in rental equipment and crew and we are now trying to raise the remaining funds needed to turn this film into a reality. Please join with us in bringing the incredible story, which is being called the "modern day gold rush", to the screen.

“Magpie” explores the current Bakken oil boom in eastern Montana, telling the fictional story of a ranch family and how it adapts to the changing world. The script outlines the struggles of a stepfather and his daughter over control and ownership of their family’s future — torn between the fortunes to be made in the oil boom and keeping the traditions of family ranching alive.

We need all of your support, our goal represents only a portion of what we need to successfully tell this story. We have the generous support of the Montana Film Office, join us and them in promoting this project so we can shed some light on the dangerous, unique and authentic world that exists in eastern Montana.
