What's the Exhibition About?
Super Ordinary Gallery in the RiNo art district of Denver, CO will be transformed for two months into a large scale graphic art environment. Three distinctive microclimates will lead the viewer on an exciting visual journey using life scale graphic installations. Denver underground artists Samuel Schimek and Rob Mack have come together to manifest this exhibition and will be using their skills in graphic design, found object, and the collaborative art experience. Leading up to the exhibition, viewers are invited to become involved from the ground up by following the online campaign via facebook, twitter, and the website. Followers will have the opportunity to experience exhibition production and see how this exciting collaboration will come together.
During the opening of this exhibition on June 4th, event attendees will have a chance to see the full collaborative power of the Denver art scene. In addition to the exhibition there will be a live fashion show, special music project integrated with the graphic environment, and special art POP-Up store containing purchasable pieces of the graphic environments.
WE WANT THIS SHOW TO TRAVEL! $2,250 allows us to produce this show in Denver and have it run for 2 months. It helps us get all the special collaborations off the ground too, but we really want to do more. Denver has a great up and coming creative scene and it is time to show it off in other places. Every dollar over our goal means we will be able to show the exhibition in another city. $5,000 means we can go to Seattle, and $10,000 means we can go to Chicago after that! Sky is the limit on where the show can go after Denver, we are so excited to make that happen and appreciate your help with doing it!
Special Collaborations:
Music Project: Solid Bump Records is producing music and sounds to accompany the installation. Based in Denver and San Francisco, Solid Bump utilizes mixing and sampling to create unique atmospheric compositions. It will be a great addition to the viewer experience and be available to everyone in the POP-Up store of the exhibition to take home.
Fashion Project: Graphic elements from the installation will be printed on fabric and made in to ready to wear garments by Rebecca Pebbles of Holsum. She makes incredibly professional garments and will debut all of the designs at the opening of the exhibition.
