We've pierced the illusionist's magics and his defeat has left our ideas in physical form: the Backers Only Compendium Class Supplement and Backers Only Monster Supplement will now be printed for every backer pledging $25 or more. We'll be working with Scout Books to make the print editions of these supplements really cool. They'll be pocket-sized with chipboard covers, 100% recycled paper, and vegetable-based inks: basically, they'll be great pocket-sized books you'll be happy to show off.

But as we defeat the illusionist there are cheers from the next room. The goblins that live there have been spying on us through cracks in the walls! Now they're trying to finish off what the illusionist couldn't and defeat us.

Fortunately with the druid at our side we can take the fight to them. If we reach $42,000 we'll be able to clear out the goblin tunnels and take their stuff.

The goblin's treasure is an adventure called Number Appearing by Justin Wightbred. If we reach $42,000 Number Appearing will be released as a PDF to all backers alongside the finished game. Here's some more about Number Appearing in Justin's own words:

It used to be better in the shining copper age of legend but then we were cast down by the sunlovers to this. Now this is what we’ve got: you sleep in water and filth; you get some rotten biscuits to eat if you’re lucky; you only get to go outside so the sunlover butchers can kill you; the only weapon you have is a rusty knife; all your so-called allies are all on ‘The List’; and the Chief whips you if you complain. This is what we’ve got, yes. But what are you going to take and hide for yourself?

I’ve played hordes of goblins, gnolls, ghouls, lizardmen, mummies, imps and thouls in fantasy games since “Orcs of Thar” came out in 1988. "Number Appearing" scratches that itch with a set of race playbooks to turn your standard Dungeon World class into a creature from the dungeon, ruin, crypt or even from those hidden among us. Play as the mumbling ghoul or irate lizardman in a standard party or band together in the launch adventure to collaboratively design and defend your minion’s dungeon home. Forget about the dragon, the real challenge is can your motley crew survive the marauding sunlover butcher, thief, witch and zealot “adventurers”?
