Who doesn't like a good, old-fashioned dystopian/robots-vs.-humans story?

I've been wanting to produce the comic mini-series Edgewater for a long time but have never had the financial backing to pay somebody to illustrate. That is, until I found out about Kickstarter. Your pledges will enable us (mostly Zandria) the security to finish writing and illustrating the first issue - a 45-page introduction to the disconnected town of Edgewater and how they deal when robots begin to kill off.

Bypassing digital means to give the book a different look than any comic you've seen, Zandria uses time-consuming mediums of graphite, ink, watercolor, and acrylics (so far). Each panel takes hours, but the result is worth it. Since she's just dusted her heels of a crummy old job, some of your pledges will go to feeding her and heating her apartment during the cold, Utah-winter months. Pledges will also go to printing costs (also, if anyone has any info/recommendations about small publishing houses that do such things with integrity, I'd love to hear about it).
