Help Rusty+Jessica Make New Music For Your EARS!!!
We need your support now more than ever. The inspiration and energy to create an amazing record is there but being an independent artist often coincides with "drumming up support". This gives us the ability to hash out our song ideas and write what we, and more importantly, YOU want, but it also means we need to raise our own financing. We are releasing a 6 song EP entitled "Take The Lead" with CD release shows in the first quarter of 2012, as well as, a Full-Length Follow-Up Record sometime in 2013.
We are shooting for the financial goal of $12,000 (full cost to record album). Your pledges will be used to pay for demoing new material, recording, mixing, mastering, and associated travel expenses. Keep in mind, this budget covers making the Full Length album only. Every dollar we raise over $12,000 will be used for such things as promotion of the album once it's released because we think it would be great to have this album reach as many people as possible! Additional funds could also enable us to play some shows, because yes, we would love to worship with you at a venue near you.
Thank you so much, every one of you for all the love, kindness, support, humor, prayers and friendship you have shown us since 2004. It was that same love and support that helped propel our debut record, God's Romance, and single, All That I Need, to the top of the local charts, provided for an amazing touring schedule, and packed venues with your lovely faces! Let's do it all again! We want to see you soon! Please keep in mind that, for your safety, this is ALL OR NOTHING funding. This means that if we don't reach our KickStarter Goal of $9K, no monetary transactions will take place and therefore, no pledge rewards will happen! It’s often hard to separate where ministry begins and family life ends for worship duo Rusty & Jessica. It’s a part of every aspect of their life ... whether singing their children to sleep or leading crowds in worship, their goal is leading others in worship of a God whom they are learning to love more and more each day.
Their journey of worship over the past decade and a half has led them to minister with several nationally recognized artists such as Tenth Avenue North, Johnny Diaz, and Mark Harris to name a few. But sometimes, it’s the moments that no one sees that has taught them the most about worship - passionate abandon to God when no one else is looking. In the midst of work, raising three children, and family life, their focus on worship continues to be the passion that drives them.
The couple married in 1999 after a high school romance that started with a mutual love of music. But they soon realized that their heart for God’s ministry would be a uniting force throughout their lives. The two high school teens answered God’s call to live a life of worship and soon discovered that His calling was pulling them to lead worship in a local church in their hometown of Houma, La. Whether playing keyboard, guitar, singing, or playing drums, the duo welcomes every opportunity to lead people a little closer to the heart of God through worship.
Though lately, they have gone through a season of growth, with the addition of their third child, and increasing family demands, they keep returning to the ministry of music. Their single, “God’s Romance”, provided opportunities for them to minister across the tri-state area in churches that opened doors for them that had never before been opened. But it’s what they have learned offstage that helps them minister most effectively. When life gives them heartache, they return to God with worship. When life hands them disappointment, they return to God with devotion. It is their desire that their worship would lead others to a place of encouragement and excited passion for Christ.
