About Heat Wave

Heat Wave is a Dark Indie Road Comedy written by Russ Russo (The Projectionist, Donner Pass) to be directed by Will Lamborn (Award Winning SXSW and Sundance Director) and features an All-Star cast that includes Twilight's Kiowa Gordon, True Blood's Natasha Alam, John Carter's Amanda Clayton, Machete's Mayra Leal, Broadway's Olja Hrustic, Twilight's Bronson Pelletier, Liberator's Jessica Andres & more. 

Heat Wave follows two guys from New Jersey running amok in Hollywood when their narcissistic behavior reaches a fever pitch it's time to get out of Dodge, a Road Trip can be a cleansing but morality can chase you down the road.
Heat Wave is about life in Modern day society ,Gen Y friendship, Moral decay, Narcissism and the winding roads, discoveries of self and all the people you meet along the way with a twist.

A Special Message From Kiowa

Heat Wave is a collaborative effort stewarded by  THE PROJECTIONIST producer Atit Shah as a response to the changing landscape of the film industry. Russo and Gordon are partly financing the film themselves through Shah’s new company Create Entertainment in order to maintain complete creative control of the source material. We all experienced the frustrations of financing and institutional censorship as artists even when making dark comedy. But now, with advances in digital photography and distribution, we can tell a story in the manner we choose. Movies are changing and we’re changing with it.

The Heat Wave team has realized that Kickstarter is indeed a part of this new independent change, and is seeking to connect with our fan base even further with this campaign. Raising money will assist us in the production of our film in addition to increasing awareness of it. Meet The Cast of Heat Wave

Russ Russo is an American film actor as well as the writer, visionary and driving force behind this new project HEAT WAVE. His work includes London Betty, Land of College Prophets, Williamsburg, and forthcoming thriller The Projectionist.
Russo is a Two Time Maverick Movie Award Nominee and has been voted Film Threat Magazine's “Indie Actor to Watch” as well as IMDB's “5 Indie Actors to Watch.”
In 2011, Russ completed work on a buzzed about thriller The Projectionist opposite True Blood's Natasha Alam, Cool Running's Doug E. Doug, Donnie Brasco's Robert Miano, Twilight Saga's Kiowa Gordon and The Soprano's Joseph Gianascoli. Russ is now bringing some of the members of this cast who are long time friends, together again and mixing them with other exciting and artistic talent to create Heat Wave.

Kiowa Joseph Gordon is an American actor, best known for his role in the Twilight Saga as Embry Call and the movie The Lesser Blessed. Kiowa is also a keen vocalist, and used to be a member of a progressive metal band called Touché, before leaving it to focus on acting and his fans. Kiowa is also an executive producer of Heat Wave and is very driven and focused on bringing this project to fruition.

Bronson Pelletier is a Canadian television actor, best known for his role in Twilight's New Moon and Eclipse movies and for his role as Jack Sinclair in renegadepress.com.
Pelletier played Jared, a Quileute shape-shifter, in New Moon, the sequel to Twilight, and reprised his role in Eclipse, the third film in the series. He also had roles in Art Zone and Dinosapien.

Natasha Alam is a Uzbekistani-American actress and model.
Her first acting role was on the television show Fastlane. Television shows she has guest or co-starred in include Entourage, True Blood, Nip/Tuck ,CSI, NYPD Blue, The Unit, and American Heiress.
She also played the recurring role of 'Ava', a Forrester model, in The Bold and the Beautiful from 2004 to 2007.
She has appeared in Shadow Puppets and the The Women.
She also appears in True Blood as Yvetta, an exotic dancer at Fangtasia.
Natasha's modeling career has included photoshoots for Maxim and Playboy. Like many female celebrities before her Natasha was featured on the Front Cover Of Playboy In June 2010.
Natasha was recently voted one of FHM's 100 Sexiest Women Alive.

Mayra Leal is a Latina artist of Mexican and San Salvadorian descent, born in Houston, Texas and is garnering the attention of veteran movie producers, directors, and an emerging loyal fan-base.
Her first acting role was on the television show Secretos.
Leal is also known for her roles in Machete, American Lie, Arena and Huff.
This beautiful and talented actress is building an impressive resume and fan base and will be an amazing asset to Heat Wave. She has appeared on several radio stations and in television interviews recently to promote her movie appearances and upcoming projects.

Jessica Jade Andres is a Filipina actress originating from Minnesota. As of 2012 Jessica is appearing in lead role in Liberator starring opposite Lou Ferrigno, aka "The Incredible Hulk".
Andres's first major role was in a short film directed by Nicole Roberts called Out of Darkness.
Andres is known for her roles in Just Go with It, Ellen, and Out of the Darkness.
Jessica Andrea was considered one of the 55 faces of the future by Nylon Magazine's Young Hollywood Issue.
