Update #13: Rock Vibe is Almost There

Update #12: Rock Vibe Update
I've been getting the following question a lot, so I figured I'd answer it in the form of a post:
If I pledged to Rock Vibe's first campaign on Kickstarter, does my pledge still count or do I need to pledge to the new campaign if I still want to back Rock Vibe?
If you pledged to the first campaign, which ended on January 20th, your pledge was canceled. This means that you were not and will not be charged for the pledge you made to the first Kickstarter campaign, which ended on Friday, January 20th.
If you'd like to pledge to the new campaign, please visit http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/rupa211/rock-vibe-accessible-gaming and click the "Back This Project" button.
Additionally, the cost of 1-player and 2-player Rock Vibe has come down in the new campaign. Why, you ask? Because I reduced production costs by selecting standard, readymade parts instead of custom-made parts. Rock Vibe now costs less to make!

Update #10: Rock Vibe's Future
I want to thank you for your support and believing in Rock Vibe. As you probably already know, Rock Vibe didn't meet its Kickstarter goal, but I'm still moving forward with development and holding onto the release date.
So what happens next? Rock Vibe will be launching a new Kickstarter campaign on Monday, January 23, with a new goal that's closer to what was already raised. The new Kickstarter campaign will have a new link, and you'll be the first to find out when it goes live. Fortunately, I love playing with numbers, and I was able to whittle down the budget by bringing more of the production to my workshop and reducing the number of customized parts. Not to worry though, Rock Vibe will still be its rockin' self.
What does this mean for Rock Vibe's supporters? If you pledged to Rock Vibe's original campaign, your pledge has been cancelled and you will not be charged. When Rock Vibe's new campaign goes live, you'll receive the link via email (it'll also be posted on the Updates page). You'll be able to pledge to Rock Vibe again and select an associated reward! And of course, you'll set my heart aflutter with enormous amounts of gratitude all over again.
Thank you for supporting Rock Vibe, and I certainly hope that we meet again. It's been a crazy Kickstarter ride so far, and I look forward to riding this roller coaster once more.

Update #9: Less Than Two Days to Go
Rock Vibe's time on Kickstarter is winding down and we've still got a long way to go. Although it looks as though our goal won't be met this time around, Rock Vibe will be relaunching – most likely next week – with a new funding goal based on a new budget and a better understanding of the types of rewards people are selecting. I'm proud of how far the project has come so far, and I'm incredibly grateful for all of your support. In the meantime, I'm going to continue working on Rock Vibe and getting the word out. And if the goal isn't met by 5 PM this Friday, we'll be back!

I have been programming and building art and electronics since 2002. In 2008, I started Rock Vibe, an electronic musical game for people who are blind, with 2 other colleagues, and it proved to be very successful. Throughout the project, I served as the team leader, programmer, and designer of the game. I am now planning on taking the game to the next level by creating a 2nd, more intuitive fully functioning game that can be enjoyed by those with or without sight on their computers through tactile and sonic feedback.
