"The way to your divinity is through your humanity" —Panache Desai

I want to create a set of short films and interviews with a man who has a great message for the world: Spiritual Master Panache Desai.

For me, Panache's message is inspiring, direct, and challenging. He asserts "There is no imperfection - you've only ever done what you were meant to do." He notes that many of us have been trying to fix ourselves - trying to "fit in" on this backwards planet. And his message is a big shift: You're already divine as you are. Stop trying to fix yourself ~ Take the unique spark inside of you ~ And turn it into a blazing fire that cannot help but inspire others.

My plan is to travel to Panache's upcoming global spiritual gathering in New Orleans. This event is unique because it concludes his year-long initiative of energetic work around the nation, and focuses on the still recovering city of New Orleans post-Katrina. I'll film for the 3 days of the event, do an in-depth interview with Panache, and then travel back. From that footage, I'll edit together a set of short films - done in an artistic, personal, and honest way.

To create these films, I hope to raise $1500 to pay for travel expenses, lodging, data storage, and DVD prints. I've taken many measures to keep the budget low, and Panache's organizers have waived my entry fee to the event. After post-production, I'll use the remainder of the funds to print a special limited-edition of DVDs for Kickstarter backers. If we raise more than the goal, it'll go towards increasing quality & beauty all around.

I hope to have the set of short films download ready by February 2010. All project backers will get exclusive updates during the editing, including excerpts of raw video footage. Project backers of $10 or more will get exclusive first access to the set of short films for download online before anyone else in the world. Backers contributing $50 or more will receive a very limited edition DVD, printed only for this Kickstarter project. Backers of $100 or more get an extra copy of the limited-edition DVD for a friend, as well as a personal "Brought to you with the support of" credit in the film's credits. Finally, two backers of $500 dollars or more can get a producers' credit and a special hour-long session over the phone with Spiritual master Panache Desai.

I hope to continue this process with projects to come - kickstarting, filming, editing, and offering films that help change our paradigm. The world is changing and if we're going to move with the change, we have to become the change.

From what I've seen, Panache's courage and insight is contagious ~ I am sure everyone will be able to garner something profound from watching these films! Thank you so much for being a part of this.
