About this project
We've already self produced and released two albums and have found great success.
Our debut album CLOSE DOWN THE WOODS ended up being shortlisted for the Grammys last year in 6 categories. "WAIT A MINUTE HERE" and "GETTING BY", from that recording received national radio airplay and the world was introduced to ROBOTANISTS on televisions and silver screens around the globe.
We've garnished national press and critical acclaim and have showcased at international and National music conferences... ALL ON OUR OWN!!!!!
But it's time for us to take a big leap and get more people involved. PEOPLE LIKE YOU!
We're recording our first not-self made record in September, then heading out to tour the south and southwest in October, and we could really use some help to make it all happen!
Our new album is called PLANS IN PROGRESS and we're making it with an amazing producer and engineer, Danny Kalb (Ben Harper, Beck, Karen O, Feist etc), here in Los Angeles. Then we'll be sending the record to be mastered and made into 12" vinyl in Nashville, while we are on tour.
It'll be available on CD, vinyl and globally on iTunes and all other major digital stores by February 2011!!!
Making an album and going on tour is EXPENSIVE especially for a band on their own, and $5000.00 won't pay for everything. It will however, help us with the upfront costs of booking studio time, paying producer fees, mastering the record for Vinyl duplication, and will even help with gas money on the road.
We're investing our own time and money into this project as well, but with your help we can go even bigger and better than our last two records! Let's do this together!
