About this project
SMALL OF HER BACK is a feature film about a troubled young woman who never leaves her apartment and the stranger who appears at her door in the middle of the night.
If there is such a thing as a dark comedy, then SMALL OF HER BACK is a kind of dark romance, with some truly breathtaking performances from our two leading actors, Nicole Beharie and Christopher Domig.
Now that we have the footage in the can, we need about $20,000 for post-production (this stuff is expensive!): sound mixing, music, color correction, and all of the costs that go into a festival run. We are asking for $10,000 here on Kickstarter since it's an all-or-nothing campaign. The closer we get to $20K the better, but every penny will make the final cut of SMALL OF HER BACK that much better.

I’ve worked as a screenwriter for studios such as Warner Bros, Fox, and Disney; and production companies such as 21 Laps, Deline Pictures and Millar Gough Ink. I also teach anthropology at Brooklyn College, which has been ridiculously generous with giving me time and equipment to make movies.
