Hi there! My name is Gyula Nemeth - I'm an award winning illustrator and graphic designer. I've done illustrations of hundreds of pro athletes for various clients over the years including trading card companies, magazines and several pro sports teams. I have the privilege to work with the NFL Players Association, Fanskrit and Right Way Creative on Charming Faces, my ultimate dream project. A first-of-its-kind trade paperback, the book celebrates the strangest and most badass characters in pro football history from the past 60 years (1950s to present). As with any epic narrative, pro football's history is full of heroes and villains, guys who made indelible marks on the sport with their talent, style, and sometimes outrageous attitudes. Charming Faces pays homage to many of them.

This is a must-have for football fans, but also a great book for those who appreciate illustrations about exceptionally unique people like Big Daddy Lipscomb, Chuck Bednarik, Jared Allen, Maurice Jones-Drew or Ray Lewis. To make the overall experience more interesting, I'm using many different styles including comic book, vector illustration, and newspaper cartoon. To further enhance readers' appreciation for the book, I will also present bio notes for players in a clean and crisp layout. 

With my good friend, Alex Perry (we work together for Chicago-based Right Way Creative ) I have laid out a line of nice rewards for our backers. On higher levels we added original sketches and finished artworks to the usual favorites like posters, tees and stickers. At the "MEAN JOE" level (every level bears the nickname of a football legend the book) we even want to invite backers to participate in the brainstorming of the book by suggesting player names for the final lineup. $22,000 (USD) will be used to produce the book, create reward collateral, cover Kickstarter/Amazon fees, and make royalty payments to players whose images I use.
