Synopsis: A gentle and naive Rabbi with a gambling problem finds himself as the "talent" in a 1970's adult film.
The Project: This is a short comedy about a kind-hearted Rabbi who owes money to the mob. To pay off his debt, they force him to become the star of a 1970's adult film. This project is about Rabbi Dan's first day on the set and the resulting culture clash.
Once completed, the film will be submitted to various film festivals and released on the internet. If well received, we hope to expand it into a feature film!
Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
We risk running out of time. We have a limited amount of time to shoot at our primary location. We're calling on all of our resources and planning everything out as much as we can prior to shooting so that we can get all of the coverage we need to tell our story. Most of our cast and crew are volunteers. We're asking them to do a lot of work in only a few days for little to no pay. They're passionate about the project, but it will be challenging to keep energy and morale up. Coordinating and communicating effectively should help reduce problems and frustrations. Healthy food, plenty of water, and fresh coffee are a must for maintaining energy.

Make your friends super-jealous with your very own hand-made "What Would Rabbi Dan Do?" (WWRDD) Kaballah red string bracelet! Then, rub it in by showing them your name in the Special Thanks credits of your digital copy of the film. They'll have to point their evil eye somewhere else because you're wearing your awesome bracelet!

"T-shirts! Get yer t-shirts here!" For this donation level, we'll send you one white cotton t-shirt with the Rabbi Dan Gets a Night Job logo printed on the front. When someone points at it and asks, "What's that?" you can explain, "It's a t-shirt of course." They'll probably say something like, "No, what's Rabbi Dan Gets a Night Job?" Then you can show them the film we sent you with your name in the Special Thanks credits. They'll probably get really jealous at that point. But you'll be safe from that kind of negativity because we'll also send you a bracelet with the t-shirt. See? We've got you covered! ... from the waist up at least.
