We're just a couple of twenty-somethings with a passion for video games, movies, music, theatre, TV, and everything entertainment.

The D-Pad is going to be a weekly podcast in the PodSmiths network, hosted by Rick Desilets, John Selig, and Nick Bebel. A trio of twenty-something college grads, we love all kinds of entertainment, from movies to TV to music to theatre, and most of all video games. Every Sunday, we come together at the D-Pad, along with guests, to talk about the world of entertainment yesterday, today, and tomorrow. Not only that, but as functioning parts of a growing independent film company, we're always looking to expand our network and do some outreach into the local community. We've already got more than a dozen guests lined up for more than three months of episodes, so we're off to a great start, it's just a matter of getting it off the ground.

The equipment necessary is not very extensive. In particular, we're looking at a pair of Zoom H4n handheld recorders, which run $300 a piece. At bare minimum, that will be sufficient for the podcast to launch. Aside from that, any additional funds would go to additional microphones and/or advertisement and travel expenses for the show to get a more public face.
