About this project
Barry Willie Black - Comin' Loose, is what I hope to be the first release in a long string of releases in 2012, in the hope of releasing more CDs in a year than any recording artist in history, and more covers by a single artist than ever before.
Funding will be used for final studio and production costs.

So far, I have recorded over 850 covers… and yes, my middle name is William, a.k.a. ‘Willie’. I have been called "The Legend" by friends and fans here in Austin, and "The King of Karaoke" by those who thought they were the best. I've been honored again and again to sing duets with some really great vocalists. Of those eight hundred fifty plus songs, more than one in seven (131 so far) was recorded by Willie Nelson, himself.
I am currently working on new original songs for a release I have already titled, A New Phoenix Rising, but I will only release it once I have completed at least 1000 covers, and have released enough CD projects to hold the record.

My reply was as follows…
"I’ve been there, and I agree, I saw the most beautiful lightning and thunder storm of my life there in the summer of 2006, but…
I am living in “The Live Music Capital of the World”, and sing Willie Nelson better than Willie, some have said, and I am getting ready to start turning loose the first of my music in early 2012.
I have already mastered over 55 CD releases (80+ CDS), and have 56 others already started, too…
So why would I want to leave Austin, … ?"

You will be credited as Producer for the CD & receive a personal performance of CD songs (using backtracks), at your event in the Austin area & receive an autographed hard copy of CD. Destined to be a collector's item, because of the scope of all the projects I am completing! You will be credited as Executive Producer for the CD set & receive a personal performance of CD songs (using backtracks) at Ego's Lounge in South Austin (depending on calendar date availibity) or other venue of your choice for up to 50 of your friends & family, with two hour limit, expenses for out-of-town travel to be covered by you, including transportation & lodging for myself & videographer. You will also receive and autographed hard copy of the CD & all my Christmas CD's to date as well as the new one for Christmas 2012, which is scheduled to be released by Thanksgiving day 2012! Been singing off and on since I was pretty young, less than 10 as I recall, choirs in church and school, like so many folks, and then in late 2006 to give it a go at recording some of the songs of my life.
The "Songs Of My Life: In the key of ..." Series is a long term series of recordings of some of my favorite songs over the years, from some of my favorite artists.
The rest of the CD projects I have recorded demo masters of over the last 2 and a half years are simply concepts I decided to wrangle up a group of songs for.
