Kickstarter

Throughout the past 4 years while running Rethink Clothing (my t-shirt company which uses designs created exclusively by college artists), I have always wanted to give an artist a series of shirts that represent his experiences during college. This project does just that.

I plan to print 3 outstanding pieces by Zack Davenport, college artist extraordinaire. I have worked with him before, but I wanted to give him a series to let him have more design freedom. His work is always inspiring and limiting it to a piece here and there is too restricting. With these 3 shirts he gets to express a unique and powerful time in his life.

The drive and inspiration college artists have is indescribable and has kept me driven while working with Rethink. I love giving back and letting artists have a chance to see their work make it outside the classroom. To me, this project is an amazing chance for Zack to see something he has created come to life, beyond what is currently done at Rethink.

The plan is simple: Raise enough money to offset the initial cost of printing the 3 shirts and ensure Zack receives a fair wage for his amazing art.

Recap:

• I want to print 3 fantastic pieces from Zack Davenport on shirts for my company Rethink.
• The money raised goes to paying the artist and offsetting printing costs.
• Rewards revolve around you getting one or more of these shirts.
• I'm no stranger to the t-shirt industry. The finished product will be of the highest quality, meaning top notch American Apparel shirts, soft inks and a nicely printed inside size tag.

The 3 Shirts:

Push in Zack, the artists words:  "Push is a bit more personal than the others. The design is inspired by a harder time in my life and my struggle of getting through it, like a plane pushing through a hurricane. "

Sleep in Zack's words: "As a design student, I am very familiar with pulling all nighters the night before big projects are due. Without all nighters, I wouldn't get anything done on time. I'd like to thank coffee, beer, and 5 Hour Energy"

Live in Zack's words: "This design is about loving what you do, no matter what it is. If you don't enjoy what you do for a living, you're doing it wrong. Don't do work, do something you love."

How do you know my address, shirt choice and size?

At the end of the project, Kickstarter has developed a tool for collecting information from my backers. This information will be the size and design choices from you. 

When will I get my rewards?

The printing will take 2 weeks after the end of the project. It's safe to assume you will be getting the shirts in ~3 weeks after completion of the project.
