About this project
What is “Aftershocks”?
“Aftershocks,” a short film, features two strangers struggling together to survive as aliens invade their city, creating massive earthquakes and destruction.
How we plan to use these funds:
We need these funds for just about everything. We need to lock down film locations, and those locations involve fees. We also need to rent a camera, a dolly, a steadicam rig, and lights, and we have to rent or buy props. We also need a crew, which requires payment as well as food. A hungry crew is a grumpy crew of bears, and we don’t want that! Your contribution will help the bears stay happy! Then, after the shoot, we’ll use the funds for post-production, which includes editing, VFX, color grading, sound design, sound mixing, and mastering.
Why donate?
Donate to support passionate independent filmmaking. For anyone who loves film (whether it be alien films, films dealing with struggling, films dealing with the story of the unexpected and unknown) and wants to see his or her dollars help a great film be made, please donate. Your dollars will be well spent and greatly appreciated.
What happens if we don’t raise our goal?
If we are one dollar short of the goal, everything will be refunded and no rewards can be given! PLEASE prevent this from happening!
Rewards
This project can’t happen without contributions from you. To show our appreciation, in return we’ve lined up some great gifts for you. (Possible rewards depend on the contribution amount.) For the top contributor, the ultimate reward: the Raphael costume used in my previous short “Fight the Foot”!
Can we raise more than our goal?
Yes! $12,500 is just part of our budget, and Kickstarter allows you to raise as much money as is donated before the deadline. Please know that every dollar beyond our goal will still go toward making the film as great as possible.
When will you get your reward?
If the project has been fully funded, you will begin to see the effects of your contribution when the deadline passes. First, you will see your name listed on our website’s supporters page. When the funding is complete, we’ll contact you for your requested T-shirt size and shipping address.
What else can you do to help?
After donating, the next most important thing you can do is tell your friends about our campaign. Your social networking support will take the project to new heights!
