Update #15: May Update: PLEASE READ if you're still waiting!
Hello Everyone! :) Here's hoping this is the next to last update!! We're getting darn close to 100% fulfillment! PHEW!
If you have a question not answered in this update, or you think there may have been an error on your shipment, please MESSAGE HERE ON KICKSTARTER . Please do not message on my Twitter, Facebook, at Conventions, Email or any other site. It is difficult for me to keep up with too many different areas of messages, so concentrating them here on Kickstarter helps a lot!!
Going right to Rewards
BOOKS (not sketch/signed version) ALL US and INTL copies have been sent (unless you have just recently amended or given us your address). INTL copies are still trickling in all over the place delivery-wise, so there can still be waiting especially if your country's customs decide to hold it for any reason. So please realize if you're still waiting, it could be because of customs, something we don't have control of, or any way of knowing if they are holding it! From what we hear, it varies in times they hold it, so I cannot give a helpful estimate to anyone on that :( But if you can post when they arrive, and where you live, it certainly helps me keep track of where and when they arrive so I can inform others who are still waiting!
Please know, for the few of you still waiting, I am not purposefully holding back your book or making you wait longer, these things are just bound to happen on a project this large. I am not a company, I am one person that won't stop until everyone has their reward, even if it takes time. The spirit of Kickstarter is to make projects and dreams find fruition, something every single one of you made happen spectacularly and should be proud to have been a part of. So even though I am truly sorry some of you had to wait longer than the store release of the book (which by the way, was done so we could make money for Charity ASAP, I intended all Kickstarter copies to arrive first, but despite my best efforts it just couldn't happen that way :( ) I hope you find some comfort in that your book is A) a special version not in stores, with the bookplate, hand signature/numbering and B) you were part of making this entire thing even happen! You have no idea the amount of happiness, inspiration, and hope your help here has made possible. If none of those things matter to you, and you just want the product in your hands, then I can only give apologies and fix things as fast as I can. Just remember I am a person, who had done my best for over a year now for this project, and kindness and patience goes a long way in helping me get everything finished. Negativity effects me just as it would anyone else, So I would please request to be kind in your messages.
Sketch/Signed copies of book:
Sketch version: Copies have been sent to the artists and are being worked on. Be aware they are subject to the artist's schedule but are currently being worked on. Camilla lives in Canada, so the simple process of shipping back and forth is taking a lot longer (they have to go from me, in Maine, to Camilla, then back to me for final shipping). I can update that MY sketch copies are just about finished, and I'll be shipping them out all at once, hopefully in the next week! :)
Signed Version: Waiting on final signatures, then I'll ship out immediately.

CONGRATULATIONS to all the backers who made this happen, and all the amazing women on project who poured in their talent and care to make it the special book that it is. :)

Womanthology: Space
Yep, it's true! There's to be further Womanthology! :) This one is themed Womanthology: Space. IDW late last year made it known they wanted to further extend the good of Womanthology and help support more women creatives in comics, so they have decided to pick up Womanthology for a series of 5 issues that will then be collected into a Graphic Novel!
The editors will be Mariah Huehner and Laura Morley , both of Womanthology: Heroic!
Here's what's the same:
- Everything is still creator owned
- All experience levels are welcome
- Pairing professional with up and coming talent
- Portion will still be for Charity (but not all of it this time due to the page rate given)
- There will still be Creator Bios, How To's Interviews, Kid/Teen Contributores, etc! :)
Here's what's different:
- A page rate is offered to the creators
- Womanthology: Space is much smaller in size, it will be 5 single issues collected into a Graphic Novel.
If you are interested in participating, or have a young lady who you'd like to help sign up, you can go to the official sign up lists HERE (will have to sign up for the forum). If you are under 18, make sure to put that somewhere in the submission in bold! Also please be known that there is far less room in this series than in the Heroic book, so even if you're not in this first series, keep posting because there could be more coming!
That's pretty much it! :) It's very very exciting. Womanthology has ever meant to be a positive, fun project that supports, inspires and showcases all women creatives in comics and their unique voices. This series (and hopefully more afterwards!) will only continue the positivity further. So first of all thank YOU guys for making it happen. Without your support, Womanthology would not only not have made print, but wouldn't have been able to carry on to further adventures!
And of course thanks to IDW (whose 13th birthday is today, incidentally!) for taking up this project that means so much to a lot of people :)
Laura Morley moving into Space!
You may have been lucky enough to speak with Laura Morley since the start of this project :) She has been here, answering questions, manning the Womanthology email, organizing many aspects since day 1. She's been working hard through the many trials of Womanthology to bring it to fruition and I could not have done this without her! So a big hand by all to Ms. Morley for all she's accomplished with Heroic! :)
As you saw above, she is moving on to help with the new Womanthology: Space! and I am happy to announce, she is also preparing for the arrival of her first child! :) So a huge congratulations as well to her and her family! Anyone who wants to offer congratulations can tell her on twitter HERE

REWARDS
This section is only abut the BOOK as that's our focus right now. We are doing a complete check up on all other rewards this week and will report on any left next week.
WOMANTHOLOGY: HEROIC COPIES
Most books have been delivered, but there have been delays on a certain portion of backers.
US backers (NON-PO Box addresses): It has been reported these should have all been delivered by now (UNLESS you are also one of the address types below) This is the majority of backers.
SKETCHED & SIGNED Copies: These are all still in process and are being taken care of as I type :) These are all subject to various people's schedules and require further time, but are certainly on the way!
US backers (PO BOX) The shipping company made it known to me let month that no PO Box addresses could be sent. There were about 30 of you. You should have gotten an email notifying you that the shipping company needed a physical address to ship to you. Almost all have been collected and your addresses have been given over to IDW last week, so it will be mailed out shortly!
International Backers: The shipping company discovered a difficulty in sending your copies as they now need your phone numbers to complete the customs forms to your various countries & ensure your copies safe mailing. So you should have gotten an email asking for your phone number. We have since collected all but a few and they have been sent off to IDW last week for shipping. Again I am so sorry for this delay :( Please know I'd change it if I could and I care very much about your wait!!
Address Changes: As per the last update, most of you have filled out the change form, or contacted me or the Womanthology email. Your addresses are all on the address list sent to IDW last week so they should all be mailed shortly!
Not part of the delayed portion of backers but still don't have a book? Message me here on Kickstarter! There could have been an error in your address, or it could have been plain lost in the mail. Again if you've been in contact with us over the last couple weeks and given your address, then it's part of the mailing list just given over to IDW, so no message is needed.
And please remember that I am NOT a big company delaying your books and not caring about your wait. This is not a perfect process and Womanthology is not a well oiled machine like Amazon that can deliver books at a push of a button (though we try hard to be!). Errors are to be expected on a project this large. Though despite the project's success or the amount made, it is still just me & Laura taking care of the many needs of Womanthology in whatever free time we have and for certain we care very much, and are working hard to take care of everything :)
I would ask if you have Kickstarter questions, to ask here and not my twitter, Facebook, or email. This is because it's easy to lose track of everyone's messages when they're scattered about so much, and I want to efficiently take care of everyone.

Update #13: Big Update! Books Shipping!
Hello everyone! :)
Apologies for the later update! The release day for Womanthology has FINALLY arrived and there's so much preparation going on for it!
March 14th, this Wednesday, the book will be released in the direct market (comic shops). It's a really momentous occasion for all involved. It's been months and months of hard work, and now it's here! :D It's really finally time!
Now for you backers, here's the latest on rewards! Please scroll to the bottom for some cool news about Wonder Con & a little contest!
Womanthology Books
All copies for United States backers have been sent already, and should be on their way to you if you haven't gotten it already. They are shipped from San Diego, so the further east you are the longer they will take! :)
International copies are still being worked on, the publisher is working with multiple custom forms from many countries from around the world, and trying to find the safest tracking methods for your books, so it may take a little longer to get to you, depending on where you live. As soon as I get the word that they're being mailed out I will update again!
Address Changes have been asked about a lot, all the address changes we've gotten up till now we've forwarded to the publisher and they've implemented it on their lists, so all should be okay for you. If anyone else would like to change their address, to insure we don't lose track of your messages, please fill out THIS FORM
People just now giving addresses There have been a handful of people who have just now sent up their address, and about 40 who have not sent in their addresses at all! yet. Those that just sent in your address, there may be a slight delay in that you were not part of the list sent to the Pulibhser, but no worries, we'll get it to you, but there may be a little delay. If you haven't send in your addy yet, please do so! Everyone should have gotten their request for addresses in email and in your Kickstarter account back in December.
What happens if my book doesn't arrive? This is a huge project, with a LOT of backers, and only a few of us trying to make it all happen, so I am sure there will be a lost copy of two, a mis typed address here or there, or just a plain mistake. It's just bound to happen! But please be rest assured I am in this until the end, and no matter what everyone will get their book, even if it means I'm shipping them personally until the end of days! ;D Meaning: Don't worry if there's a mistake, I'll make sure everyone gets their rewards. I won't just disappear, I'll always be here. Just message me, and keep in contact!
Womanthology Sketchbooks
All these have been shipped. I've gotten one or two "return to sender" in which I notified those backers already. If you haven't gotten your sketchbook, please let me know!

I know I've said it a lot, but I really cannot thank all of you enough. :) It's unbelievable that it's all finally happening! I hope you as backers are proud of what YOU have achieved in all this. You made your voice heard, you supported something you felt was important, and yes I know for a fact that you've changed lives. All of us on the book love to make comics, and we wanted to pull together to make something fun and meaningful for good cause, but we could never have done it without all of you.
As things move forward after this book, I have my hopes that Womanthology will become something that will give a place to women in comics to showcase their work, and to help support one another, for a very long time :) This was ever meant to be something positive, fun, and worthwhile, and I can thank all of you backers and the wonderful women on this project for making that a reality!

This 30+ page special consists of current Womanthology contributors and some new ones. :) I also felt it would be fun to welcome any interested men to join in the fun this time. They've all been so supportive of Womanthology and women in comics this entire time, I felt they could further show their support with their talents for Valentines if they were so interested :)

Hello guys! :D Hope the New Year is treating all of you well!
I'm making this an update for both Backers & Public as there's info that non-Backers might like to know as well.
This update covers:

It's all important stuff, so make sure you take a minute to read sections that may interest you and as always contact me with Questions!
Release Date
Just for general info for those that may have missed it, the book has been %100 completed and has been off to the printing process for awhile now. I've just been informed to expect delays for the release date due to printing issues. But as the book is now out of my hands, the exact date hasn't been made known to me yet, but once I do know I'll update everyone. The estimate given to me was that it had to be moved from the Late January date to a very early March one (so a little over a month delay). I've been told as the books continue to print and further delays are out of the question, we'll then have the more certain date for it's release.
Womanthology is a beast of a book that is unlike any other, so there were a lot of fun twists and turns and challenges to get it ready, and everyone involved (including the amazing team at IDW who have been tirelessly preparing it for print) have been working nonstop to make it happen, and this delay is not the cause of anyone, just an unfortunate happening. I personally just cannot wait to finally hold the book in my hands!! On the bright side, if it is indeed released in early March, it'll coincide with Women's History Month :) So destiny maybe?Kickstarter Copies Release Date
Your copies will be sent a couple weeks earlier from the release date for stores. All the addresses we collected were sent in already to the mailing company, so be sure if you haven't given us your address for your book copy that you do so now!
Please note that I hand numbered and signed special bookplate pages that will be bound into Kickstarter/Contributor/Library copies only :) So there's no further delay for that, but anyone who ordered altered copies (sketches, or further signatures) will require further time. I'll be in touch about all that soon!

I've been made aware that some of you amazing stores out there already set up signings with contributors of Womanthology for an Early February release date. First of all, you are absolutely awesome for supporting female creators like this, it means a lot to all involved!! Secondly, if you need to reschedule due to the delay, we want to make it as easy as possible for you. So please contact our Public Events Coordinator Rachel Pandich (who is also a writer for Womanthology! :) ) Her email is radeph@gmail.com She can help you work with contributors to reschedule, and anything else we can help with!
Special "BookPlate" for Stores
I have a limited number of extra book plate pages (I explain above what those are), so I thought it would be nice to offer those to stores who may have set up signings for Womanthology creators :) Meaning, if you have set up a signing already and have to reschedule OR are thinking of setting up a Womanthology signing, I'd like to offer to send you a couple of these pages signed by me and personalized for your store. You could then have the ladies at your signing autograph it for you to keep, or even offer them to your Womanthology pre-order customers to make up in a small way for the delay. I only have limited number of these, but you can contact Rachel Pandich at radeph@gmail.com if you are interested! Again I know it's not much, but I and all involved really do care and appreciate your support of Womanthology and female creators in general. :) So THANK YOU!

Please be aware that the first 3 months or so after the campaign ended we had to focus all efforts on completing the book to get it out as soon as possible. So Laura and I (who are taking care of the rewards) have only been at fulfillment of non book content rewards for almost 2 months now. We are making super fast progress, and I cannot express our thanks to all the supportive, nice people we've had the pleasure working with during this time! And thank you all for the understanding that even though Womanthology ended up being a far bigger deal than ever imagined, it's still only our tiny team of ladies handling it all!

HELLO! 2 days ago it's arrived my copy of sketchbook...thanx a lot, it's pretty....but honestly, thinking to the potential also given by this beautiful and ambitious project so much lucky, I hoped into something more cured and in an edition not so cheap....I don't wanna offend anyone but the "edition" is not so special....it's a pity!

I'm a professional comic book artist, recently for IDW's New York Times Bestseller "The Last Unicorn". I'm currently working on Anne Rice's "Servant of the Bones". I'm a mother of 2 boys. I enjoy Halloween costume making, co-op videogames, baking, and long walks on the beach holding hands [ er.. waitaminute, wrong site]. I am also a self proclaimed holiday nut!
