Abdallah Ally is 14 years old and attends Veternary Primary School. He lives in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He wants to be a doctor. 

This fall, Abdallah and his classmates will take their National Exams. Because education is only compulsory through primary school, if they do not pass, they may not be able to continue their educations. 

Abdallah is one of the 240 students I've taught English to twice weekly since January. Together, I've learned their hobbies, learning styles, goals and dreams. To encourage their dreams and give them some motivation to continue their education, I'm creating a class yearbook. 

The book will feature headshots of each of my students, their birthplace and their future ambition. I'll also include photos of their teachers, the principal, as well as shots taken at the school throughout the year–including some taken by the students themselves.
