Red Stage is a professional non-profit company that does a season of shows during the summer in Burlington, VT. We are a vibrant, edgy, young group of professional artists that are bringing marketable theatre to the Burlington area that is not yet readily available in the community.

We are delighted to present our plans for the Summer 2010 Season.

Our plans this summer include
· Two full-length plays at the Waterfront Theatre in Burlington, VT exploring the theme of The Outsider and the Quest for Home, presented at affordable prices with a policy that no audience member is turned away because they cannot pay.

We are presenting a brand new, vibrant translation of Spring Awakening, by Frank Wedekind, Translated by Jonathan Franzen. Spring Awakening traces the dawning sexual awareness of four youths which remains fresh and unsettling even in our own sex-saturated world.

We are also presenting the east coast premier of fresh, young playwright Josh Levine's Game Over. A brutal and darkly comic play Game Over gives us a glimpse at the intimacy sometimes achieved in the most terrifying and savage of places. Two soldiers, Marcus and Jimmy, return from Iraq and must face the task of reconciling the bond formed overseas with their ever differing reactions to the war.

· Free Connecting with the Community panels with local professionals and leaders exploring the themes of our productions in lively discussions about relevant issues.

· A free education program for 45 children of the substantial Bhutanese, Burmese, Iraqi, and Somali refugee populations.

· An internship program to bring students hands-on professional experience
