About this project
I have been known to tell anyone who will listen that I have dreamed of one day releasing a vinyl record. I have also been heard to say unless it was a song and recording I was 100% satisfied with that it wouldn't be worth the time, effort and most of all, EXPENSE of releasing a vinyl record.
The time has come. I have a song I think would work perfectly as a 7-inch record, split into two parts. My plan is to work with a recording engineer, either at studio or as-yet-to-be-determined off-site space (church, barn, living room, etc.), to lay down all the parts of the song. I want to do more with the song than I can with my usual live setup. This includes adding instruments I cannot bring with me to gigs, including piano, auxiliary percussion and more.
Once everything is recorded, I plan on using Aardvark Mastering and United Record Pressing to put together the vinyl release. I will be making the packaging myself and have already commissioned a friend to design the artwork.
The money raised will pay for the engineer/studio time as well as the cost of mastering and pressing the records.

I am a solo performer who creates music using guitar, bass, voice, drums and other assorted noises. I have been performing in this setup since April of 2009 and recently completed my first tour which took me from Boston, MA to Tucson, AZ. In my daytime life I work as a high school music teacher.
