yessssss! i'm making my first solo record!

I am constantly surrounded by the most incredible musicians, and LUCKY ME!!!!!! my favorite songwriters wrote songs for me! and they're so great.
here's where the fun part comes in... they have been given to me in their naked form and my producer and i (dan schwartz from good old war) will construct everything else. i have songs from the best sister in the whole world, Claire Wadsworth, Dave Davison (Maps and Atlases), Chris Kasper, Raph Cutrufello (Hezekiah Jones), Michael Baker (the Spinning Leaves), David Cope, Dan Van Wert, Ryan Williams, Sean Hoots (Hoots and Hellmouth), Joshua Britton (Sweetheart Parade), Kevin Killen, Andrew Lipke (Andrew Lipke and the Prospects, Get the Led Out), Zack Martin (Carrigan), Keith Goodwin and Dan Schwartz (Good Old War), MY DAD!!! and many more! seriously! the songs keep coming in! and these songs are just insane! i can't wait to start manipulating and creating. i can't wait to sing them. and i can't wait for you to hear them.
so please please give anything you got. we chose $8000 because that is the absolute bare minimum i need to make this record. and since this is kickstarter (you rule) i only get this money if the whole goal is met, so i wanted to make sure i'd get to record town. and after amazon and kickstarter fees (they gotta pay the bills too, you guys) which is around 10%, i'll hopefully end up with just over $7000. sooooo, if hundreds of you guys want to contribute you won't hear any complaints over here if we go over $8000!
and seriously, i understand being a broke musician. i'm a professional broke musician. so if you can't afford to holler at me monetarily, spread the word. tell your friends and parents and teachers and bus drivers!
check back too, i'll keep all y'all posted with updates during the fundraising part and waaay after too. this is gonna be huge and epic.and oh! so! fun!!!!! let's make this record!
