OutLoud Magazine pushes women to do one thing: Live Life Louder.

If you really want to get to know us, check out our blog

The Project:

The Women’s Empowerment Project: OutLoud Magazine funds the inaugural issue of a  Columbus publication devoted to “guiding women to live life louder.”

That’s our mission, passion and motivation. By publishing an environmentally responsible, creatively crafted, and thoughtfully drafted local magazine, OutLoud will not just help, but push women to find fulfillment.

The Funding:

Your generosity directly provides us with meeting our bottom line to produce OutLoud Magazine.

Because of you, 5,000+ magazines will circulate the Columbus and metropolitan areas, spreading positive messages to women experiencing tough times.

Not only that, but your donation fulfills "baby-missions," as we like to call them.

The first, environmental consciousness. It’s imperative to us, as an organization, to print recycled, responsible paper product, and use soy ink. We also design pages to print in the mag, reminding readers to always recycle OutLoud.

Meeting our goal also means one other thing: we can afford to offer ad space for cheap to small, local, and/or women-owned businesses. Promoting growth and interest in Columbus resonates as a high priority to us. Columbus delivers a diverse range of nifty, unique business, and OutLoud wants to support them.

Profit is not our number one priority; impact is.

*sidenote: Initially our goal was to approach advertisers for funding. Two main problems arose. 1) Advertising budgets are tight, therefore businesses are less likely to hand over their budget to a magazine they haven’t physically seen. 2) Being a magazine for the empowerment of women, we are strictly selective about offering ad space to businesses. Whereas it’s necessary call to make, it also cuts our odds of reaching that bottom line.

Stretch Goals:
Currently, our dedicated team of writers, editors, designers and photographers work with OutLoud for one reason: their passion and belief in this mission. There is no pay, yet. With enough funding, OutLoud’s team can be rewarded for their time and talent. Estimated Amount: $12,000

OutLoud needs to host an awesome launch party. Besides celebrating the culmination of a three-year journey and the birth of a staple, throwing a kick-ass party establishes credibility, builds our brand, and provides opportunities to reach our audience and advertisers in new ways. Basically, this party promotes OutLoud’s longevity. Estimated Amount: $15,000

An even further goal eases our reliance on advertising dollars for future issues of OutLoud. (next editions: November 2012, February 2013, and May 2013)  Estimated Amount: Anything above $15,000

OutLoud Magazine divides into three sections, Stand Out, Shout Out, and Go Out. To give you a better idea about what kinds of articles we include, here are a few of the features women will find in OutLoud's inaugural issue.
