Today, we bid farewell to all our new Kickstarter friends as we count down the remaining minutes of the campaign.

The wellspring of inspiration we've drawn from you all over the last 50 days has been SO important to us.  What you've done to empower us and guarantee the work we do is a success has put HUGE smiles on our faces!

We file this final video update, now, as another way to extend an invitation to have you come see your handy work for yourselves.  Please visit!  Whether you live here in town or drop in from a far away shore, we'd love to thank you in person for your pledge and support.

For now, we'll say adios.  Just, PLEASE know, that you've done something historic - both for 469,000 people in the Boise Valley and for the media landscape of our entire country!  We hope you continue to support independent, noncommercial media - it is THE essential fabric of a functional democracy.  THANK YOU, AGAIN!

Did you guys all know we officially started BROADCASTING over the weekend?!?!?!!!!!!!  That's right, Radio Boise is now ON THE AIR at 89.9 FM!

We'll run in "test" programming mode for a couple of weeks until we install the remaining studio equipment and resolve some computer interface issues but the take home message is that we've FINALLY accomplished what we set out to do over 8 years ago - in GRAND fashion.

And after a GREAT weekend of DJ training we are back on the job site as we race to get everything cinched up by the sneak preview tour right before this Monday's Air Check Party at the Red Feather.  We hope you ALL can make it! 

Thanks again for your support here at Kickstarter.  Every single dollar this campaign generates will go towards paying our vendors and contractors for construction of our new studio.  Our total out-of-pocket costs for our 1250 sq ft improvement will be right around $10/sq ft, which, by any measure, is nothing short of incredible - it usually averages between $30-$40/sq ft.  We have 6 days to get over the $10,000 hump, which should still be quite achievable.  With one final push we could close the remaining gap significantly.

You all have been FANTASTIC during this campaign.  We cannot thank you enough!  We'll sign off for now for a few days and check back in after trim is up...cool?

Last night, just past 11:00 PM, we achieved our minimum funding level to receive Kickstarter funding!!!!!

Almost 160 of you have pledged, so far, and we are awed by the generosity and encouragement we've felt during the course of the campaign.

Thank you SO, SO much for playing such a CRUCIAL and INFLUENTIAL role in the construction of our new studio and indeed in the fundamental success of Radio Boise.

We're excited to share the latest video update with you on this GREAT day!  With one final 12 day push should definitely be able to cross the $10,000 THRESHOLD and beyond!!! 

Please continue to share the project with friends and look for the next update after we get equipment installed!  Thank you again for making a HUGE difference in the name of locally-programmed, people-powered radio!

So, we thought we'd mix it up a bit for our next update!  Ya'll game?  Instead of another tour of the latest studio construction progress (which is going swimmingly, BTW), we're going to give you two minutes of controlled chaos up at our tower site.  The video was shot a week ago, while the tower crew was hoisting antenna mounts and our 10 ft microwave dish which receives our audio signal from the studio.

Incidentally, today has the makings of the BIGGEST single day total for the Kickstarter campaign - in fact, with a bit of a push, we could actually reach our initial goal TODAY!!!  If you pass along the project link to just a few folks who should know about our efforts, I'm thinking we could be celebrating BIG TIME by tonight!!!

We are humbled by the generosity you've shown.  You all are amazing!

Here's YOUR latest Kickstarter update, folks!  As an added bonus, a bit later, we'll post video of our day of adventure at the hilltop transmitter site - but we wanted to give everyone a peek at what we've been up to on the homefront.  Big changes down at the studio since you all saw it last - let us know what you think.

We're now over 100 backers and almost $6,000!  But it's no time to ease off...our deadline will be here before you know it and without a final push all your pledges will be for naught.  Time to hunker down and GET 'er done!
