Just been putting it together: Is it intended on a dual for the nozzles to be on inner or facing outer? Looks like it can run both ways. Also, what size is the hex set screw in the cog, the hex size, not the thread?

Chelsea, I sent you a private message a couple of weeks ago regarding shipment of my dual extruder head, but I didn't get a reply. Please let me know if there's any confusion.
Anyway, I forgot to give you the address when you sent the survey form many months ago, but filled it in a couple of weeks ago. I know it's incredibly late, but I was wondering if you could still send me my extruder (dual with cartridge heaters, without motors)?
Thanks a lot, and looking forward to receive it,
      Ronny.

Question to the RPM 3D printer with milling (I am beta tester...) -- how are the parts fixed to the bottom of the machine - are there t-slots for this purpose?

anonymous-va212: We are showing your package delivered on 9/24. I have PMed you the tracking information.

The stereolithography process that we are employing is not the same type as the Form 1 printer nor does it employ any of the software wizardry that 3D Systems is alleging that Formlabs is infringing. We made very sure before starting development that the path we were going down would not infringe any patents. Our process is elegant and simple.

      Cheng: thanks!

Correction - lawsuit with 3D systems who own the patents for 3D stereolithography.

    14. Missing_small

      Creator anonymous-va212 on December 11

If I were you I would not add the stereolithography 3D printing to the options for your RPM 3D printer until the lawsuit with other kickstarter "Form 1" has come to an end. They could ask kickstarter to kick your 3D printer off their website because of the patent claim.

We print out all the shipping labels in bulk to save time hence the delay from printing to shipping. The initial delay was us waiting for parts. Your second order has been printed and shipped in the same day.

We already shipped you your order which shows in tracking as leaving Miami, FL on November 9th as you had mentioned below. Typically when no information is shown after that point it has not been past customs into the destination country.

When we drop off a large shipment (126 boxes went out today) to the USPS it does usually take them a few hours to check them in and for the tracking to update. If you check the tracking in the morning you will see that they are on their way again. I will be monitoring the shipment to make sure it gets to you.

      Thank you!

We do care, that's why we sent the original shipment and included tracking information. In good faith despite that it is most likely stuck in customs on your end (where the tracking number shows it to be) we have shipped another unit to you and have sent over tracking information. When you receive the second set please feel free to give it to a friend or another enthusiast. Thank you!

Hi Chelsea, bad news. I went ahead and forced my set screw into the Hobbed Bolt, and the thread is completely flattened. I tried to hold the thing on the shaft with super glue, and it holed for about 30 mins printing before got loose :P

What did the USPS have to say about the location of the extruder? Do they know where it is? When it will arrive? There is still time today to get a substitute out before Thanksgiving. Id be happy to pay the Express charge. If the original one ever shows up I will ship it back. My printer is useless without the extruder. I cant build the Christmas presents Ive designed with out it. Chelsea I received one of my two extruders ordered about third week of October. The small box label mentions 2 plastic extruder kits and qty 2 but only one plastic extruder kit in the box.
Could you please send my second complete extruder when possible.

    38. Headshot1.small

Creator Chelsea Thompson on November 20, 2012

By shipping an extruder to you and sending you the tracking information is not giving you the 'run around'. I'm sorry that it has not arrived yet, but if it is indeed lost in the mail then we are happy to send another one out to you. The USPS does not always update tracking information once it leaves the country. I have received numerous e-mails from international customers that have received their package without the tracking number actually showing delivered. I will contact the USPS when they open in the morning. If they cannot give me concrete information on its whearabouts then we will dispatch another one immediately.

Chelsea I just called Australia Post (International contact +61 3 8847 9045) the with the number you gave me. THE PACKAGE IS NOT IN AUSTRALIA! Customs DOES NOT HAVE IT. How would you feel if the table was turned and you were receiving the run around you have been feeding me. The package has not been seen since 9 November. Its mostly ocean between the USA and Australia so if its not in either its most likely gone missing. DO THE RIGHT THING! GET AN EXTRUDER (assembled or not) PUT IT IN A FEDERAL EXPRESS BOX AND SENT IT TO ME TODAY. Doing the right thing, its called good customer service.

    40. Headshot1.small

Creator Chelsea Thompson on November 19, 2012

I must have been a bit confused because, there is another customer that has exactly the same name as you do (with the same spelling), which shipped on the 29th, sorry for any confusion. In regards to the tracking data it is showing as having left the country on the 9th. It is most likely in customs in your country as the tracking does not generally update until it leaves customs. Thank you for your patience!

      Chelsea,

On 9 Oct you said "Yours has been assembled and is in testing right now. It should ship before the end of the week"

On 24 Oct you said " It was shipped on Monday"

From the info on the track number, 2 Nov was when you finally took the package to the post office.

The extruder has not been seen since 9 Nov.

This is been ridiculous! GET A DUAL EXTRUDER with DUAL HEATER CARTRIDGES (assembled or not) PUT IT IN A FEDEX BOX AND SHIP IT BEFORE THANKSGIVING!!!

We left the heater block unanodized because we discovered that when doing very high temperature prints @250c+++ that the block would change color (a very nasty gold/brown color). We didn't want our customers to be concerned with the color change and since it is covered mostly by ceramic insulation we left it natural.

    46. Headshot1.small

Creator Chelsea Thompson on November 13, 2012

mike: the tracking number we sent you some time ago is showing it as having left the US. Most likely since it isn't showing anything on your end yet it is most likely in customs.

how closely should the UMHW Filament Drive Block and the nut/chassis block?
