Who is PureThirteen?

If we were to try and describe the folks behind PureThirteen in one word it would be "crazy minded artists with a passion for decay and a drive to save the planet." 

Wait, that seems long and a little confusing.

Truth is we are simple. We are avid explorers of abandoned buildings and obsessed with the natural world. We see beauty in everything, so we have grown quite fond of the world we live in and are pushing to try and help it.

We would consider ourselves minimalists, earth conscious and serious about our work and our impact. We strive to uphold the highest standards in our current industry (body art) and want to carry that forward into our new venture, PureThirteen.

Humble Beginnings

PureThirteen is looking to fill our need for better threads and fueled with the drive to do right. We are fans of indie clothing lines and wanted to introduce something pure in design and form and felt there was a need for urban flavored, hippie inspired bad assness, which we want to offer.

We truly hope you love our shirts as much as we loved designing them and would love for you to help us leave the world a better place at the same time!

Our Goals

When we start our full production of PureThirteen shirts, we will be using only organic cotton, plant and soy based screen printing chemical products, and water based inks. Our prints will be on recycled post-consumer stock, along with our unique packaging which will be assembled by us. This is to insure quality. 

We want to produce great products that will also feel great to own. It is important to us to make a product that matters, something that is worth standing by.

What Your Pledges Go Towards

As you might expect, making and distributing shirts is expensive, even more so when you refuse to use cheap products and questionable labor.

Having already made shirts on a very small scale over the past two years, we know that to make a deeper impact for the world it is necessary to up the ante. We need your help to purchase some of the supplies necessary to make a larger amount of shirts and spread the word. We need bigger printers, more inks, screens, presses, ect; all of which will be used responsibly and by good people.

We have recently put money into a recycled shipping container to use that needs some fixing up to make eco-friendly, but it is ready for the work. We will produce everything in house and are working with local businesses to reduce our footprint by recycling and disposing of solid waste properly. We are passionate and committed to making our facility meet certain standards.

The standards set by SBA and LEEDS are going to be implemented for our entire operation. We are serious about what we do and what we leave behind.

In Conclusion

Being friendly to the earth and its people is our priority. We are not looking to get rich, far from it. Like most things we care about we just want sustainability. We have already put a lot of money into this project and seek your help to put the final touches on it. We know you care as much as we do.
