Can't bake a cake...
Dear backers,
We're very excited about some of our upcoming interviews for Triple Divide, and not so thrilled with the delay of others. We also are happy to announce a new exhibit by one of our backers, Michael Shaw, and share that we are expanding our board of directors.
We've been back and forth with PA Dept. of Environmental Protection and PA Fish & Boat Commission for months trying to nail down an on-camera interview with at least one of these state regulatory agencies responsible for the waters of Pennsylvania and for preserving the integrity of the sensitive waterbodies of the Triple Divide watersheds.
We're not shy to say the whole process has been very frustrating and we are still waiting...
We'll be pushing back Triple Divide's release, and therefore the distribution of remaining rewards. That's the "bad" news. The good news is this creates some great opportunities that we're taking full advantage of:
1. We've decided to hold off on an official premiere so we can submit to Sundance in August. To qualify, we can't have a premiere, but can have small, fundraiser screenings. (This of course doesn't change the fact that you, our wonderful backers, will be the FIRST to receive and review the film. We plan to put our backer reviews on the film's webpage, if you'd like to write one up.)
2. We get to do other great interviews - coming up are John Quigley, former head of the PA Dept. of Conservation and Natural Resources, and Emily Collins, managing attorney at the University of Pitt Environmental Law Clinic. (Yay!)

One of our Triple Divide backers, Michael Shaw, is showing photography of Marcellus development at the Independent Space Gallery (http://theindependentspace.com) in Kutztown, Pa. through June and July. The opening gala for his newest works is the evening of June 15 and titled, "Saving Penns Woods: The story of how natural gas drilling is changing Pennsylvania's woods and waterways forever." Congratulations, Michael!
So, look forward to Triple Divide and any remaining rewards toward at the end of July. Until then, have a great summer!

So glad to see Public Herald connected to Kutztown photo show & photographer! I have a fracking encaustic artwork showing up the street from IndieSpace at the NAP Salon of Small Works and we are traveling in July? - hmm - or maybe June - I thought Mr. Shaw told me the show was thru July... to go view both shows!
