Update #5: Clock Out Preview!
Update #4: Mission Success! Thanks to everyone!
This is so awesome! Thanks to EVERYONE who donated to us, helped us, believed in us, made PSAs for us without our knowledge, and everything in between!
YOU guys have no idea how much this is going to help. With this donation we will have enough money to mix, print and ship these CDs so they end up in YOUR hands! We are hard at work finishing the tracks and making them sound as great as possible for YOU!
Special shout out to Kickstarter for featuring us! Sites like this are really pushing creativity and art forward and we couldn't have done it without them!
As soon as we have everything ready to go, we will let EVERYONE know that their reward(s) are heading to an email/door near them. As those dates become more certain, we will give you the heads up.
We're so satisfied with our pledged amount, but there are still a few days left. If you know anyone who would still be interested in supporting this project, don't hesitate to let them know!
Once again, Prom Date THANKS YOU SO SO SO SO SO SO SOOOOOOOOOO much! We can't wait for what the future brings for all of us!
Yours Truly,
Prom Date
Update #3: Video Footage from the Studio!
Hiya backers! Nick here. We took some footage of our recording process, and I compiled the most embarrassing parts into a video for you guys! Well, I don't think they're really embarrassing, but I have a feeling I'm going to be attacked by a couple of bandmates soon.
Just goes to show the love I have for you guys! All love!
Anyway, I hope you enjoy. Again, thanks for your support, and please spread the word. We've only two weeks to go!
Cheers,
Nick

Update #2: Music Video Time!
This is Prom Date's first ever music video! It's a little project I had to do for my creative video class last semester and I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. While we enjoyed making it, it unfortunately uses an outdated version of "Facts and Figures." Our new version has horns and strings and sounds pretty amazing. Regardless, I hope you guys enjoy it.
Special thanks to: Wiliam "Talvie" Thomas, Shoko Morikawa, Peter Twal, Drew Copponex, Michael Johnson and Tad Odell.

Update #1: Photo Book Preview!
Hey Guys,
Wow! First off, thanks so much for all the pledges we've received so far! Our backers have helped us reach the preliminary goal we set for this stage of our project, and we couldn't be more thankful! Good job, guys!
Second, big thanks to Kickstarter for featuring us on their "Discover" page. It's an honor to be considered "brilliant" by their staff. If you haven't checked out the "Discover" section yet, we strongly suggest you do. Lotsa great stuff there.
Third, since this is a music-based project, we here at team Prom Date decided to let everyone preview a snippet of what's been recorded so far. It's an unmixed version of Photobook that features a string and horn arrangement performed by some friends of ours from New Orleans! We hope that you will love it as much we do!
Finally, don't forget to tell your friends and family about our project! This project can only succeed if we get all the support we can!
Thanks again!

Prom Date is an indie pop/rock band based out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The group blends a mix of guitars, electronic sounds, keyboards and vocal harmonies together to make serious music that still has a danceable feel.
Members pull influence from a myriad of genres, ranging from pop sensibilities of The New Pornographers, synth-based songwriting of Cut Copy, chordal experimentations of Steely Dan, and the alternative style of Ben Folds Five.
After years of collaboration and growth, Prom Date has gained attention in the Baton Rouge and New Orleans area, playing with such bands as GIVERS, Of Montreal's James Husband, Chairlift and Cohen and the Ghost. This past October, the group won LSU’s Battle of the Bands competition and received the opening spot for Big Boi of Outkast at LSU’s annual Groovin’ on the Grounds concert held in March.

thanks for the shout out :D
