Dev Diary #3: Creating an Art Asset
Welcome to our third and final dev diary! As a crowning conclusion, we’ll be following the creation of the owl enemy art asset, from design to placement in the game.
As we are in our last week, this dev diary is available to everyone from the get-go. We’re also unlocking our last dev diary about level design for non-backers. It can be found here.
ADDENDUM: We’ve been getting a lot of suggestions to contact specific sites and/or bloggers – rest assured, we’ve been doing exactly that for the past few weeks. Some of your suggestions were people who had slipped past our radar, and we’ve followed up on all the sites and contacts you’ve mentioned; thanks again for the great input!
With the release of the preview levels, our press coverage has picked up considerably, which should give us a nice boost for the final stretch!

There is already a way to play the game on linux via wine ;) But seriously: If you watch all the works that goes into making the graphics for such a game, I just know why I never finished a 3D game myself, all on my own. Respect for that.
Not to mention ofcourse that I could *never* 'sculpt' an Owl out of a block. Just never got that 3D Studio way of working. THen again, I'm just a programmer ofcourse, would be better suited for engine programming.... phew...
