You've been lied to all these years. Hemp and cannabis are the best natural resources on the planet! Several activist plan to prove to the world that the legalization of marijuana can save the planet, economy, and more. These are historic times! When the federal goverment is arresting anyone who stands up for the right to smoke weed, a group of brave activist plan to take the fight to the people and into the colleges of America to spread the truth and put an end to "The Dark Green Ages". The world needs to know the truth and this epic battle for civil and natural rights will prove to be!
Reason For Filming This Documentary: Since the government made hemp illegal in 1927, Americans have been subjected to unjust laws that seperate man from the world's best natural resource. Activist from all around for years have been trying to spread the truth about the benifits of hemp and cannabis. This film will be an avenue for change.
Facts about cannabis that the government didn't tell you:
- 1) Hemp is the strongest fiber know to man!
- 2) Hemp has been grown for over 12,000 years!
- 3) Jefferson drafted the constitution on Hemp!
- 4) Columbus sailed with sails made of Hemp!
- 5) Cannabis oils cure certain types of cancer!
- You can't overdose on weed but you can on water!
Todays activist know the truth how this plant can change the world and plan to show and tell the world starting at the heart of America's college campuses. They plan to take a historical, controversial, passionate,and ground breaking petition to the colleges on a music and educational tour in an effort to gather enough signatures to make marijuana legal once again.
Film Goal:
Film has an intimate history with changing public opinion. Documentary film making has manipulated the cognitions and emotions of the populace in both positive and negative ways. The subjects have been varied from penguins to political propaganda. This project stands with all prior films in this arena. The film "History in the Taking" will change public opinion about the "emerald of the earth", a plant with multiple uses...hemp. This film will disprove all theory and propaganda that has led to its legal exhile. This film will reveal how hemp is and has been one of the most useful and versatile plants on the planet. This film will reveal the dedication of unique individuals who have persevered in their quest to legitamize and legalize hemp. This film will effectively reach its audience and continue the tradition of documentary film making and change public opinion.
