Why We Need Your Help

For the first time, The Production Club has been allocated grant money from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee's Student Association in order to produce a short film. However, the grant funds have restrictions and can only be spent on specific services. We are fortunate to use these funds to provide students the opportunity to shoot with the RED ONE camera, but realize it takes much more than a high end camera to make a quality film.  If we are funded, the money will go towards the necessary supplies to ensure a higher production value for Gears. Production Club is dedicated to bringing students the experience to prepare them for professional productions after film school. With your help, we can give students the experience and knowledge to keep producing quality films.

The Money Breakdown

We have already purchased our own production insurance and received some grant money for renting professional gear, yet it may seem like $7,000 is still a lot of money for this short film. When you add it all up - it still doesn't come close to what everything would cost for a larger indie film. We have come along way with acquiring some resources and support, but to create the best film we can, we need just a little more, and this is how we broke it down:

$300 - Location Fees: Electricity, Heat, etc.
$500 - Vehicle Rentals: A bus, 2 cars, and gas for all are needed.
$1,500 - Art Department: Wardrobe, Props, Paint, etc.
$3,000 - Craft Services: Food and energy for everyone to keep goin' on set!
$1,000 - Your rewards! Yup, but we'll make sure they're spiffy just for you!
$700 - Last, but not least: 5% of our money raised goes to Kickstarter and another 5% goes to Amazon's processing fees. That's 10% of our budget we have to plan on losing.
