@John i assume that Brook has trademarked the Printrbot name and will quickly file a cease and desist letter with them.

Anybody know anything about this source?

They have some pretty cheap ABS filament. Not to mention a dual-headed Printrbot+ semi-clone...

My printrBot+ just shipped via fedex. I'm store order #933. I paid for USPS flat rate shipping so I'm not sure why it shipped with Fedex.

Just got a ship notifcation for my printrbot+ store order (700 something)! woohoo!
Looks like I'd better start cleaning up my workbench this weekend!
by jr57k » 26 May 2012 16:27
Oh... SNAP! I'm only 20 behind you. I wish it had shipped for this weekend. I've got 5 days off.....
UPDATE - Just checked my email. LC+ has left the building, FEDEX number assigned, package shipped, order number 958 should be here by the 1st of JUN.

Hey there..
Just thought I'd chip in with my experiences - Mine just arrived (not where I am unfortunately) but ...
PB+ ordered on April 4, 2012 (Order #959)
Shipped May 25th
Delivered May 30th
I think I'm going to stop going to the printrbottalk forum for a while......getting too depressed.
Just got a response from their email within 2 days... http://www.printrbottalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php…
watching a subtractive process can be more entertaining than watching an additive one. you know what it was before, you are watching it be destroyed, and maybe smoke and fire, into something less.
I wish I could hear what they are saying. Looks like some training or education on how to use the cutter?
laser cutter I mean*
I think they're having issues with the printer, otherwise everyone wouldn't be standing around it.
@Peter & Michael: Sweet Jesus that thing is HUGE! (that's what she said)
@Peter - look at the size of that beast!!
Take a look at the Dropcam under https://www.dropcam.com/p/cL4RuS it seems that the new laser cut has just arrived and is being set up to power the output to higher volumes :)
@Ryan Voots -- there's a place on the unofficial forum printrbottalk.com where folks can post their locations. There's a Georgia thread. Posted my details there -- you can also send me a direct message from within the forum. Any other Atlanta-area printrbot owners that want to try and schedule a get together some time down the line should probably try and communicate there.
I'm still interested in something in the atlanta area, didn't know there was a forum post about it though.
If anyone wants to contribute... there's a growing amount of questions here: http://www.printrbottalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php…
I just hope he can somehow get to read them...
or german
English to whatever you like
@Travis -- absolutely. Didn't see much movement on the forum section for Atlanta, but if you know of anyone else wanting to try and do a get together soon, let me know. Got mine (unassembled right now) but no time to assemble at the moment.
@haensse: From which language to which language?
Shipping notification received for LC - either backer #1403 or #1418 (there were 2 Travis' listed with no last names - not sure which I am)
@James Floyd Kelly and others in the Atlanta area - early on there was some talk of an Atlanta build meeting - is there still any interest in this?
Anybody interested in translating?
Almost there with assembling but important parts are missing...
As I told you, having the kit does not mean printing :-(
Sweet, the LC's are shipping. Can't wait to hear the LC+'s are shipping.
Øystein Stray: Hang in there! I hope they'll all ship soon :-)
I am happy this worked out. A kickstarter with so much more pledged, and from someone who has never done anything like it. What more can I wish for...
And IMHO I'd rather see more tutorials then updates.
Bunch of shipping notifications went out on Friday.
#1226 #1070 #1140 #1088 (all LCs) have reported on printrbottalk.com.
Also received my notification today! - backer #744 LC
@Peter Eastwood -- nothing I wrote was speaking for the majority. I said they can speak for themselves if they have something to complain about. Nice use of "sycophantic" but if I were you I'd focus on reading comprehension next.
I completely agree with Garret Popek. I understand that Brook has quite a lot of work, but it would be fair to keep his "investors" informed. I don't think that "we are working on that" is sufficient progress description. Try to say that to your project leader in your work if he ask "how much time you need for that" or "what's the progress of the task". ;)
aww... I'm printrbot original #1630... :3
It seems only international bots are shipping at the moment.
Got a shipping notification yesterday.

Just got my shipping notification :) #1275 printrbot LC
Brook has been very consistent with updates at right around 14day intervals. I expect that to continue and also hope for a status update on what has gone out and how many are left to ship.
I've been buying from 3dprinterstuff.com myself. decent prices for ABS and they're very nice. When I ordered my first roll in december they responded that there would be a delay due to some kind of family emergency. No idea how big the operation is but they seem to be fairly consistent on the diameter (though the 3mm i got was 2.75mm it works fine in the printrbot).
@peter most of the info on that wiki page seems outdated
@James Floyd Kelly: Pot, kettle, black. You dont speak for the majority either. Your sycophantic babbling isnt helping anyone.
@Ben - that sucks. @Christopher, I agree.
@Andreas - that was haensse who paid extra to get his early. It appears you need to either brown-nose, pay extra or exhibit the patience of Job to get your printrbot.
@ Marcus, John and 2x Marks - woohoo! Im around #1600 so I dont expect mine for a while yet but thats huge progress
@Shai - have you looked at http://www.reprap.org/wiki/Printing_Material_Suppliers
repraper.com is right up there with therapist.com as far as domain names go :P
yeah Brook told me he is aiming for about $14 per pound back when the project was still funding. That's a big saver, hopefully shipping won't be too expensive and I won't run out of the default included with the package by the time he puts it up :)
@Shai, try www.repraper.com
Shipping is very expensive, yet the final price is better.
Brook was bandying a figure of $13 per pound for ABS. That would be under $30 a kilo, which is a good price.
LC, international, #1140 - shipping notification!
As I said, it will just take a while, but they really work hard.
Also, I believe they ship in batches, so within a certain range they don't go in strict order (just my guess).
So a lot of fuzzing and complaining, but seems like we are getting to the higher numbers now rather quickly.
Shrug.
It didn't bother me. I can understand why it worked out that way. It looks like the bottleneck was the laser cutter. The LCs seem to be shipping now.
Looks like his new laser cutter is here: https://www.dropcam.com/demo/1768d444b15f46e0a383e1b61305cb9e
@Ben, I was starting to wonder I was the only one thinking that. It's such an unsettling feeling reading all these printrbottalk posts of people receiving their shipping notifications and being all excited, only to find out its a store customer receiving it. Can't imagine how disappointed you must be seeing with your own eyes. The store customers are really spoiling the whole printrbot experience for us backers since some of us got sent to the backseat.
Backer #1070, just got ship notice for LC. Things are starting to really move now.
Just got my ship notice for my Printrbot LC.
I am backer 1226.
A datapoint: I just received shipping notification by email for my LC.
I'm #946 (according to http://www.printrbottalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php…), in Australia.
My I-knew-it-would-be-late-when-I-ordered-it chrissie prezzie is on its way!
Great to see, Brook. Just keep churning through.
3mm is the answer.

I saw the first entry for a PB+ for backer #1157.....mmmh I'm backer #147 with a PB+......what happens?!?!?!?!
@Adam Levine: I agree completly
I completely agree with pushing to the end and only focusing on it. But, with the lack of communication, if we were all waiting for a bus, with no update of the delayed arrival, we would starve! We need to be informed of the problems/success. This is a Kickstarter, starting a company from the ground up. Everyone of the backers deserves to be kept in the loop. Regular updates form good customer/backer relationships. Not informing backers will potentially hurt future business. I know Brook's swamped, and I give him allot of credit for all he has accomplished. But when you get down to it, each one of us 1,808 backers are the direct reason Printrbot HQ is in full swing like it is today. 10 minutes is all it takes. Doesn't have to be a fancy video, just raw info that all us backers are seeking. 10 minutes and trolls will not exist, future business will persist, and refunds would not be taking place. Once again, I know the amount of work it takes starting a business from the ground up( as I own my own business) but rather than keep all the info to yourself, let us know. We may even be able to help. That's my 2.5 cents
