About this project
Without a doubt, Los Angeles is the capital of beauty standards. The world watches us through movies, television and magazine layouts. Everyone relies on our version of what constitutes "beautiful".
Since I was raised in this environment and I am one of the millions of people in our city vying to achieve these elusive standards, I believe I can convey, through the means of the camera and story-telling ability, the impact of beauty standards here in Los Angeles.
One of the objectives is to remind people not to judge a book by its cover. And, what you see is not necessarily what you get.
This will be a full-length documentary film that we intend on having it broadcast on television and then distributed on DVD format. So, we’ll need funding for: videotaping, editing, graphic art work, packaging, and distribution.
