About this project
Present Company, striving to bring innovative theatre to life and to Austin, is mounting its production of Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale on the beautiful and organic Rain Lily Farm just minutes from downtown. Promoting the philosophy of "Accessible & Sustainable Art," Shakespeare on the Farm supports the two organic things that feed us: food and art. After an amazingly successful run of Much Ado About Nothing, we now know we are creating an Austin tradition-in-the-making, and welcome your involvement...
The production will run September 29th through October 15th, Thursdays-Saturdays, with Friday night educational pre-shows for children and adults alike. Admission is FREE for all, and we rely solely on generous donations from our supporters to bring this event to the community.
Theatre is generally a labour of love, and we are seeking backers for this project who can assist us with various production costs. Our budget is minimal, as we prefer to keep this production earthy and immediate, but we still require funds for some basics: lighting, marketing & advertising, artist stipends, etc. Your donation will help bring to life Shakespeare's rarely-staged romance in a magical venue, broadening Austin's theatre community and deepening our roots.
