Update #35: Quick JOHNNY RECON #2 Update!
Just got word from the printer that our books will be printed next week! They could have been printed sooner, but they offered to print them on their brand new presses coming in next week, where they said they’ll look twice as nice! I’m down with that and I’m sure you all are too.
Thanks for being so patient, Scott and I will get those out to you as quickly as we can! Stay tuned!

We should be getting our inventory order of issue #2 in very soon. As soon as we do, we’ll get it out to our favorite local (Twin Cities, MN) comic shops and let you know where you can pick it up if you prefer that option.
Kickstarter folks, you handsome devils, will also be getting your reward packages as soon as we get our inventory order in from the printer. Scott and I will upload some most-likely hilarious pics and videos of us putting all those together.

Can’t release any more info on it right now, but I’ll keep you informed as I’m allowed to! Hi Luke! As you've probably already noticed I did an update after I sent this one out explaining our supporter shipments. If you have any further questions on that, just let us know!
As far as distribution for the book, the short answer is: We don't know yet, haha. We're really hoping to find a publisher. The demand for the book has actually exceeded what Scott and I can do ourselves, which is incredibly exciting and daunting! One of the reasons it takes us longer than normal to put out issues is because so much time is taken up just running the business side. As soon as we figure everything out about distribution, which should be soon, we'll let you know!

Update #28: Johnny Recon on Attack of the Show!
Hi Rangers!
Johnny Recon got some love on the G4 Network's Attack of the Show last night! During a short feature on Kickstarter, images from our Kickstarter campaign and the book appear a few different times. Very cool! I'm a huge fan of the show, so this is one of those little giddy moments for me. Now if only Olivia Munn was involved, sighhh.

Update #26: We Did It!
Hi Everyone,
With your help (and only with all of your help, we really want to stress that), we did it! Cue the Chariots of Fire music because we made it to the finish line and then some, reaching a final amount that was 50% higher than we were anticipating, which is absolutely unbelievable to the two of us! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
The two of us are camped out in Mitch’s apartment as we write this, hard at work with an aim to put out issue two as soon as we can. Mitch will continue to post regular and backer-exclusive updates as we continue our progress, giving all of you an exclusive look at the behind-the-scenes work that goes into creating a comic.
Feel free to continue to post comments if you have any thoughts you'd like to share or any questions for either of us. Thank you all, once again, for joining us on our path to our dreams and officially becoming a Recon Ranger!

POPGUNPULP Comics is the creative studio of Mitch Gerads (illustrator) and Scott Dillon (writer), lifetime friends (20+ years!) and creators of the "currently" self-published comic book series entitled JOHNNY RECON.
MITCH GERADS is an illustrator from Minneapolis, MN. After earning his BFA Degree in Graphic Design from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in 2005, Mitch worked in the packaging design industry for five years where he illustrated for such brands as Cookie Crisp, Trix, Lucky Charms, Cheerios, Teddy Grahams, and more. Mitch is currently hard at work illustrating and writing The Daring Hi-Fi Adventure Tales of Johnny Recon as well as a number of other illustration and design projects for both print and other media. SCOTT DILLON is a fiction writer who hails from St. Paul, Minnesota, where he lives with his wife, Kristin, and dog, Bailey. Scott holds a BA Degree in English and Journalism from the University of Minnesota and has worked as a project manager in the publishing industry for the last five years. He is currently writing the first Johnny Recon story arc, "What a Wonderful World," as well as managing the craziness at POPGUNPULP Comics as co-owner.
