R.K.D.

Connected as Rosemonde Kiernan Day (929 friends)

Annie is a commited playwright who constantly challenges herself to esplore new and inventive theater by creating a dialogue with past and current playwrights. Though she demands perfection in her work, she understands the improbability and uses the idea as motivation and not a blockade. She strives to push the envelope in her language, especially in the use of comedy. Her characters are true despite their alternate realities and heightened circumstances and she refuses to bound herself. Annie R. Such is an explorative, limitless, and racy playwright who pursues questions, and laughs at answers.

Annie R. Such is also an actor, combatant, dialect coach, and videographer, and originally hails from Dallas, TX. Being a southern girl, she surprisingly found it easy to adapt to an East Coast lifestyle when she moved to Philadelphia in 2008 to attend The University of the Arts. She graduates in May of 2012 with her BFA in Acting.
Annie has a southern sensibility which she brings to all her work. She's influenced by all forms of visual and performing art, but Jazz music, Duchamp, and Barbara Kruger have heavily influenced her recently.
Her favorite playwrights include Edward Albee, Tennessee Williams, Sheila Callaghan, Rajiv Joseph, Eugene O'Neill, and Lee Blessing.
