About this project

I need approximately $1000 to book locations, provide for props, and to go towards festival fees. In return, everyone who contributes will get mention in the film. The film follows a struggling, unemployed writer, Cooper. He's kicked out of his long term girlfriend's apartment. Having had writer's block for months, he believes that free of is girlfriend's grasp, he can be a pulitzer-prize winning novelist; on the contrary his creative block worsens and causes him to go insane. He is visited by an imaginary "muse" named Awen, who helps him to discover, through a series of flashbacks, that his ex, Katie was actually the spark behind all his ideas. Now it's a race to get her back, for Cooper's art and ultimately his life are at stake. With a film noir feel, Into the Deep Wide Awake promises to touch, shock, and stay with each audience member even after the film has ended.

The movie will be shot in HD with a canon HV10 and (hopefully) A Canon 3CCD hyper-280i. It will be edited on Final Cut and have an original score, along with solo singing performances by a select few.
