Our goal is to create something for the new wave of social gadgets.

Most iPad stands and covers currently available are made with imitation leather material. This traps the sleek design of the iPad inside a block of plastic and rubber. Why not cloth, we wondered? It’s an opportunity to use something natural and soft that complements the existing design. This is our result:

• Ideal wool material, fashionable design, weighs in at 6oz.
• All-in-one case, stand, and smart cover
• Stands iPad with multiple angles including portrait and landscape, on a couch, your lap, a desk or any other stable surface.
• Grab-and-go design is perfect for quick meetings.
• Despite the soft look, it is very durable. 
• Provides a convenient location for sticky notes.

The PocoWool iPad case uses soft felt wool and high-grade leather materials. Each individual piece is hand stitched together for durability. The magnets for the smart cover use non rare-earth metals and are glued securely inside the flaps of the iPad cover to prevent shifting. They won’t break easily or wear out. None of our materials involve heavy plastics or rubber, thus avoiding the use of high-tech, carbon spewing, processing plants.

The Smart Cover

This case features a magnet within the cover, making sure the iPad goes to sleep. This smart cover is fully compatible with iPads 4/3/2.

iPad Stand

Despite its soft appearance, the leather and wool combination creates a good stiff support for the iPad without having to remove the iPad from the case. Simply fold the cover behind the tablet, adjust to the desired angle and you’re good to go. With material this soft and flexible it allows for multiple viewing angles and the cover won’t lose its flat shape.

Look and Feel

The wool fabric (rarely used material for this sort of product) is very soft to the touch. It was designed to look like a slim folder. Though the materials are soft to the touch, rest assured it will shield your iPad from danger.

Funds Utilization

We are launching our second Pocomaru project to fund the production of PocoWool cases made for the Apple iPad. We have the designs, the materials and an excellent manufacturer waiting for us to give them a large scale order. We’ve been working with them on a case-by-case basis, but with enough cash, we will be able to secure a larger order and sell them on our website at a much cheaper price. Going even further, with extra funding, we’ll also get started on producing similar designs for Android tablets and Macbooks. From the start, we didn't want to approach banks or angel investors to make our products. Your support gives us great faith in our designs, and it is the kind of support that drives us forward.

This time, our goal is set for $4,000. This total only secures our large-scale order to the manufacturer and the purchase of a logo print stamp. More is needed to turn our dreams and passions into reality. By increasing production on our future designs you will also provide the means for us to create more local jobs in Seattle.
